my friends computer came with mcafee security suite. I'd like to uninstall the Virus Scan ONLY since the subscription ran out, and Install AVG Free. Do you think this is a good move? Thanks...

some ******* *******sent a virus to my computer thru myspace friend request.its movieplugin.how can i remove this?pls i need help.we already tried deleting the file and putting it to trash bin and deleting the program but its not working!pls,any idea will be appreciated.

from Pest Control. A bubble appears from it every 10 seconds or so and reads that 'Your computer is infected' then tells me that I should click on it to download antispyware. I have installed Norton anti virus and also Microsoft.com, window defender, they all say that I have no virus or spyware, but, the box says I have. How do I stop this thing popping up every 10 seconds, then it fades, then re-appears with a 'pop' sound - it's driving me crazy! Any help much appreciated.

Do you think that the Anti-Virus companies form some viruses themselves and release them on the web so users can get affected and then sell the anti-virus software to get rid of it? Iv seen some things on watchdog which made me ask this question. Im not saying ALL viruses but some? to boost profits and sales figures?

The other day i got on my computer and i went to play some music on my windows media player and when i clicked on file up at the top it shows the last like 10 things that have been played on there and somehow porn was on there and everyday there is more and more i don't know where its coming from no one here looks at it.

It said to run a live update but that did nothing. It still says expired. I got a confirmation e mail from them. What's going on?

This happened on a work machine. Does this mean that my machine is being monitored by a sysadmin, or perhaps that it has been compromised? Is there a chance that this could happen as a glitch, or by some other means?

I'm having severe adware problems, and it happen when I mistakenly downloaded ad program. This program generate lot's of ads on my computer. Then I know the source of the adds, when I go to control panel programs I see the program it's called "advertisemen", every time I try to delete it my computer says "Error loading: the specific module could not be found" but I know the program is on my computer because ads keep popping up and I used the best spyware and adware programs, like spybot destroy, lavasoft adware protection, windows defender, windows malicious software removal; and it still doesn't work. There is some other spyware that I can't get off my system like zeno assistant. I need some serious help and advise.
