It is asking for my old pass word, new pass word, full name and address and security code or else my yahoo account will be blocked! They say this is becuase I logged in wrong on a day I wasn't in, has anyone had this and do you know if its genuine? Thank you.

just wanna ask, do spybot automatically detects spyware/adware automatically everytime i open up my pc or do i have to click it for it to run? and do spybot protects me from spyware/adware while im online?

Ok, there has been a guy on here called mohammed P (aka-PC Patel) claiming to be from the Metropolitian Police informing about Paypal fraud! Well I'm not sure if he's the real deal but.....
read on if you are interesting in NOT being coned!
There is an internet fraud group that are sending out emails, using a link to the Paypal website for you to update your details. This link is fake and will take you to a false site(identical to Paypals)and ask for user id and other information.
Please do not use these links, contact Paypal though Ebay or through other means.
If you have used this link then please take nessecery measures to ensure that your money IS where you left it!
This is a real scam, my Mum got the email last week!

shows a locked sign on the symbol of song when on the desktop. When used on different computers it is asked to aunthiciate. Codec says " AAC (Protected)"

Im PC Patel from the Metrpolitan Police, currently investigating financial affairs of a company under the name of paypal, on suspicion of fraud, corruption & money laundering.

Now we will be the first to admit that it does totally baffle us as to why a big international firm would risk its reputation by engaging in such activity and when we received our first compalints we actually thought it was a hoax, but when more complaints kept coming in and we saw sites like,

www.paypalwarning.com www.nopaypal.com

etc, it dawned on us that it was a very real situation. We are looking into one possiblity that it was the work of hackers or enemy within type staff, trying to bring paypal into disrepute.

Although paypal is ultimately responsible, as the reposnsibility is theirs to ensure adequate screening & activity monitoring of staff, security to stop hackers and reinstating accounts when complained about. These are all issues they have failed to address, so just steer clear.
youAlthough they do have many happy clients who say they never had a problem, this is because they just pick on some people and not others.

If anyone has any information about bad apple staff members, please drop us an email and an officer will contact you. A 50,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of any bad apple, enemy within staff members casuing all the trouble.

We have changed the password, but now she has changed her ID info so we can't even change her pass word. We have no visability on her account. How do we get access to her account. Our primary account was deleted in the past, which was the link to hers. We just got in back so any change now we can view, but we can't view what she already changed. Any assistance is appriciated.

somebody has used my credit card to purchase a subscription to an online vendor. i think i may know who the person is....however i am unsure. i want to be sure before i either a)accuse the person or b) contact some sort of authority.

i know i have to report this to my credit card company to prevent futher fraud--- but can they even do anything to find the person?

maybe the online vendor can track down the person using the IP address they used to access the website. i'm sure whoever did this isn't stupid---they probably created a fake email account and fake address too----so can they even track them down?

what if the person who used a laptop computer and fed off of somebody else's wireless internet?

besides telling my credit card company, i don't even know what else to do---i don't know anything about internet security. i'm so angry and feel so violated.
