I have recently downloaded a free avp fro the internet. There is another old avp on my computer. Would the two conflict and slow the computer down?

He is very knowledgeable. Some days when I try to open my mail I find he must change it back to old password. I changed it from another pc and had no trouble till I got tired of typing it in and finally decided to save it. Boom again, one day it is my old password and another it is the new one. He has access to keystroke. Can he be the culprit or could it be something else.

Because LiveUpdate is (supposedly) running, I can't
1 disable it
2 delete it
3 uninstall Norton
and LU certainly hasn't updated AV definitions for ages.
I really want to bin the suite and start again.
Help!!

My computer has been infected with spyware.

This sucks because I have a genuine edition of Norton Internet security, which I constantly update.

When I realised there was a problem I saw what Windows recommended. It said to install Windows Defender. This is lame.

What do I do?

Im tring to install windows XP service pack 2 but I get an error saying that c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe is still running I dont know how to shut the down correctly.

I got this stupid trojan in my computer and it's messing it up. My anti virus software can't do anthing about it. I need a software that will get rid of it. My anti virus software is McAfee.

H/page has been hijacked by www.syssecuritysite.net .Also it interferes with my browsing. Antivirus not effective. Also while browsing it trasfers me to www.error404site.net. Here is says "The page you are looking for is blocked by the adware on your PC. Remove it with System Doctor software. CLICK HERE". I have run Norton and Spysweeper both dont fix it.

Hey I got the downloader virus on my computer. I ran virus scan in regular mode and in safe mode and it keeps saying that access to the file has been denied so it wont let me delete it. I even tried to go into the system 32 folder and delete the file while in safe mode and it says that the file is currently in use and can't be deleted. How can I get rid of it if I can't delete it even in safe mode. I really need help with this one so if you know the answer please help me. Cindy

My brother recently bought a laptop, and my family has a family computer in the basement. He also bought a wireless router. I hope I spelt that right! Anyway, the computer is up and running, but any idea how to secure the network? The main computer, the one in the basement, is a Hewlett Packer from 2003, and this laptop is Tobisha. I thought I would post this question, then look on the CD installed on the main computer. Please keep our network safe!!!

A page called spywareprotectionpage.net has hacked yahoo.com and I cannot access yahoo. Yahoo is still set on my internet options as my homepage. I have Mcafee and have run it, but it is not getting this page off my computer.

Since I have downloaded AVG Professional anti virus software, I keep getting the following message: Application Realplayer is trying to establish TCP connection with remote IP address 207.188.24.159 (last number changes from time to time). Is this just my RealPlayer trying to update or is their a nasty at work here?

I can be sitting there staring at the screen and not doing anything but all of a sudden my firewall gives me an alert that says "outgoing access denied" along with some other stuff like port and source. What does it all mean? Am I being hacked or something?

this usually happen at certain websites like gamespot.com. when i am watching a clip it doesn't show but it plays and the audio is audible. the video comes on only when i switch to full screen. why is this so?
