Security - July 2006

Their is a certain program, and I want to lock it. By putting a password I don't want any one to be able to turn the program on or be able view it with a password...or a lock to it or something..if so how can it be done?

Well you cant sign in since that stupid thing is attacked by hackers and they installed malware. So while you are trying to log in actually its downloading some nasty stuff on your PC~~!! Just check your PC tommorow. You will know the difference. Crushing, slowing down etc..

I believe its from a card company, I had a girlfriend in canada and it's my birthday tomorrow.....the e-mail said she had something to show me, but when I click on it, it starts to open but never makes it, theirs got to be away to open that url, The mail states as follows, she wants to show me something, and I have to go to address to see it, but I try and nothing happens, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I bought a sidekick 2 off of ebay, paying with paypal. The guy i bought it from has good comments, but he has ignoring my emails. The day I bought it he answered saying I sent the payment very fast. **Ironically, he hasn't left a comment on my ebay comments** Also, he seems like he can't speak english properly, yet hes from New York, where I also live. Think i got scammed?

My sisster has an atitude and thinks shes a cpu god, and can keep from getting adware and viruses. well now i have 21 peices of adware on the faimily computer. a virus scan from our interenet protection agency removes any viruses but not adware, and the adware is killing our computer. i cant find the disks to wipeout our computer and reload it. how do i fix my cpu?

My 14 year old daughter wants so much to come on here and ask and answer questions, but once I saw how much sexual talk was on here, I first told her no. Then, I decided that I would write down all of the areas that should be safe, like food for example, and let her go into those areas only. Today, I went to the food section and there was a question that got answered in a sexual way, so I had to tell her she is not allowed on here unless I supervise the question, and make sure the answers are clean. I told her I would come on to ask if there is some sort of filter on here that will keep those things from coming up...which would allow her more freedom. I have checked my settings on my comp, but it doesn't seem to filter these things out. If any of you know a way to filter this talk through this site...PLEASE let me know. She is a great kid and I trust her completely, but reading those sort of things would be bad for her. Thanks.

So my brother accidentally locked my computer (window XP) and now he forgot the password. There is only 1 account and i can't get in without the password. Right now i'm using his computer to type this up so yeah. How do i log in a password protected computer without some sort of CD or something? I don't want to reset anything either because i have important files in there, nor do i want to take my comp to the comp shop because thats just too much. Is there anyway i can log on a computer without the password?
