Security - July 2006

I have DSL service through Verizon Yahoo!. In the package, they provided something free called Verizon Yahoo! Online Protection all-in-one Security Software Suite. I installed everything but the Anti-Virus component of that suite since I had a free trial version of Norton Internet Security 2006. Now that that has expired, I was going to install the Anti-Virus software from the Verizon Yahoo! software. I just wanted to know before doing it, though, whether it is good or not. If not, what would you recommend?

How can you safe on myspace? My mom is worried that something could happen when I am on myspace. I know she is worried about my safety, but how can I be any more safe? I only talk to the people I know and met. What else can I do?

because i can't open the video in youtube.com. the error said either your javascript is off or a old version of macromedia flash player. but in the fast few days i can saw the vieo in the youtube.com

I have been worried about this , Im not a big computer person and I opened bulk mail and responded to it by ordering what they wanted me too on my credit card giveing imformation , I did cancel my card after I did it , but what else should I do ? should I cancel my email address with yahoo ? can they track my address and messages ? yahoo tells me how to pervent spam but not what to do after I have been spammed , what else should be done ?

Ok. I need help getting rid of a virus(if it is one?). On Aol Instant Messanger my cousin IMed me and it said "Would it be okay if i posted this picture of us on my myspace?(and then it had a link)" but the thing is i never talk to her and i asked her about it and she said it wasnt her it was a virus. So i clicked on it one day and something popped up that said "Run?" and i clicked ok. and then i sign on to my screen name and i start IMing people but i wasnt actually IMing them. It was the virus thing. saying the same thing about myspace pictures. Can someone PLEASE help me delete it and find out what its called. I only glanced at the download prompt and i think the title might of had a z and two e's in it. PLEASE HELP ME!

It is a business only computer and if any classified information gets out im basically screwed...
the thing is I sighned up for a free sony vaio laptop on a random advertisement ..but I regretted it because it slowed down my internet connection speed from 8MBPs to 1MBPS. and Ive been getting more pop up ads and running into more and more computer malfunctions ...Please help this is extremely important...

I use a PC and Norton but when I bought my daughter the white MAC notebook, I didn't get her the Norton program or anything similar. Now I'm worried about that.

This does not happen anywhere else that I go on the web. Is this happening to anyone else? Take your time and observe a few days before answering. I will extend the response time to allow for this. (I am very worried that I am being invited by viruses and that some hacker has compromised Yahoo's defenses.)

my wife answered a yahoo want ad for a puppy,the end result of multiple emails was,he convinced her to wire money to africa for a plane ticket to send her the dog-I never got the puppy.She answered another yahoo add for a different puppy,guess what-same scam different names. I wired money to someone in africa, against my better judgement thru walmart, and he then said the ticket would be more than he originally thought, thats when I figured out we had been scammed for $350. I wonder if theres a way to stop these people?
