Spybot S&D has a good anti-malware device. (As long as it is active)
So has IE7 Beta 3 (If a windows user), a built in feature. It is also available in the Windows Live Toolbar (beta) as well. Have a look around.

Spybot Search and Destroy is a good, free program that will (a) protect your PC, and (b) let you know when malware is trying to get in. Once installed the program can be run when your computer is started, and has a background monitor (Tea-Timer) that lurks in the system tray to catch intrusive software.
If spyware is detected, or attempts to modify your computer, you will be alerted.

hi, i recommand you to try firefox.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
