How can you safe on myspace? My mom is worried that something could happen when I am on myspace. I know she is worried about my safety, but how can I be any more safe? I only talk to the people I know and met. What else can I do?

Well even thought I think its retarded for a mother to be worried about the internet when its all ON YOU! but what you can do is make your profile only viewable to your friends. You can make it to where people who only know your email and last name can request to be your friend. You can be SMART and not put personal information on there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and lastly...give your mom your password and let her see everything. But honestly...I HATE how everyone is saying myspace is unsafe. THE FREAKIN WORLD IS UNSAFE!!! Yahoo answers are unsafe. If your that retarded to get killed on the internet. You shouldn't be on.

I feel completely safe on myspace, because like you, I only talk to the people I already know. I think myspace is only as dangerous as any other internet site or chat room where you interact with people. As long as you are cauious about the information you give out, nothing can happen. Just use common sense not to tell strangers personal details.

Do not post any personal information on your profile/page, don't dislose any personal information through the website period. Don't click on any links from anyone that you don't know. Don't download anything on the site from anyone you don't know.
Be careful...there are a lot of weirdos out there and your mom has good reason to be worried. ;-)

Make your page private. Also, set your age to fourteen and make sure that the only people that can add you know your last name or e-mail address. You can do this under Account Settings.

Set your page to private and friends only, when people send you friend requests view their profile first and see if they look dangerous and NEVER tell them your age,location,or number etc. Also never meet in real life unless its 1 of your friends you already know from school,family,etc....

that depends if your 11 and tell people your 14 or 20 you will have different people talking to you ( I only talk to the people I know and met) this is the smartest thing you can do

don't give out personnel info about your self like phone number, address, your real age always say your older. and never talk to people you don't know just talk to your friends it's a blast.

just set your aite to private go to account settings and then privacy settings and then you should see something that says public or private choose private..also dont add ppl you dont know as friends
