Sygate Personal Firewall..

Try it, it's free
http://downloads.pcworld.com/pub/new/privacy___security/firewalls/spf.exe

This software logs application activity, security (as in who tries to access your computer) and it tells you if a threat is major or not... I recommend this firewall. Best of all it's free, there's a business version that you can pay for that has more features..

Hi Sara,

There are a few out there. In my profession, I use to recommend Sygate. There were bought out by Symantec. I am testing 4 new free firewalls. Reports to be out soon on them, stay tuned.

The free firewalls showed the messenger client (the thing you chat with) IP of the server, and then if you did a direct connect like sending a file etc, it would also then show the IP your of the distant computer.

The closest one I have found is from Kerio. Just use the basic settings or it can mess up or slow your connections down in a big way.

Hope this helps, Good Luck

Active Ports 1.4 - easy to use tool that enables
you to monitor all open TCP/IP and UDP ports on
the local computer. Active Ports maps ports to
the owning application so you can watch which
process has opened which port. It also displays
a local and remote IP address for each connection
and allows you to terminate the owning process.
Active Ports can help you to detect trojans and
other malicious programs. Freeware
