Some good advice above re sites to check out what the virus is. Here are some free downloads that you should run on your computer to ensure your security. I use all of these. Download, update and run each one seperaetely. This should fix you up.
Antiviral. (free)
AVG free. Excellent protection available from: http://www.Grisoft.com
Don't use two antiviral products together as they may be incompatible. If your Antiviral trial has run out, then remove product from your computer and get the AVG installed.
Anti-spyware (all free)
Essential products are: Adaware SE from: http://www.lavasoft.com
Spybot SD http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html
Spywareblaster http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
Windows Defender - from Microsoft downloads.
Spycatcher
http://www.tenebril.com/consumer/spyware/spycatcher-express.php
PC starter kit at download.com 20 of the best recommended programes for people new or less advanced in computers. Check all three pages, at bottom see Security/Tools/Fun
http://www.download.com/PC-Starter-Kit/2001-12350_4-0.html?tag=dir
C Cleaner.http://www.ccleaner.com/
This will tell you a lot about what is on your computer, such as running programmes, cookies, History, settings etc. and will help you clean up and remove unwanted items. Be careful how you use it as it is a very powerful programme and you should read the help index before you do anything with it.

If you know the name of the virus: type it in Yahoo search bar and a 'fix' should be listed. If that doesn't solve the problem, go to Norton.com and search the virus list for your virus.. a soultion should be given.
Good Luck!

I have this on my gaming machine and you have my deepest sympathy.
Sadly this adware is hard to detect and almost impossible to know if youve got ridden of it.
Ive traid AVG, adaware, spybot, ewido, smitfraud fix, virtumondo fix and its still here (yes in safe mode).
My windows explorere.exe keeps crashing, I think its tampering somehow (rootkit maybe).
Tomorrow im going to reformat, just to be sure.
I recommend you do the same, and good luck bro I know what your dealing with.

hi, you can try norton, you should pay for norton.
i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any virus on webpage.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
download firefox for free:
