Sure. Once in a while even commercial software has accidentally had a virus or two attached.
Before the Internet became popular, the most common way to catch a virus was from portable media, for example floppies. That method still works.

Even if you are not connected to the inter, you can STILL be hacked or infected with a virus. The only difference will be that it is not possible to remotely access your computer so it has to get your computer physically.
I can just sit on you table and then hack your computer.
I can give a CD - DVD - Floppy Disk - USB Drive that is infected and as soon as you use it, your system will be infected as well.

Generally, no. There used to be viruses that were transmitted via infected files on floppies, etc., but they have pretty much gone the way of the Dodo bird now.
You can NOT be 'hacked' if your machine is not on a network! Whoever said that is clueless!

Surprisingly... Yes you can... Especially if you transfer things from one PC to another... Meaning burning them on disks and what-not... But it is very unlikely that you would get a virus like that... But it's alot easier to mess up your computer...

As long as there is no telephone line, cable(for broadband\dsl), or fiber optics line plugged into your computer, you cannot get a virus or be hacked.

Sadly enough sometimes even when you buy software it contains viruses. Not often, but it does happen. You are, of course, a lot safer if you don't enter the internet.
Hope that helps.

Yes, you could, but it would have to infect your computer by being on a disk/jumpdrive that was inserted into a drive/port on your computer. (At least that's the only way I can think of.)
