Without knowing what the specific error or how the computer acts before the error there is really no way of knowing as it could be a myriad of things

Try a different software, it could be a corrupt installation or may be setup file as well, if it gives the same error with other product as well, then some virous is blocking it. go to www.housecall.trendmicro.com and get a online scan done, its free.

hi, perhaps the virus is too strong.
i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox cann't delete spyware, but it can disable any adware and spyware to run in your browser.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox can edit which site/popup to block and unblock.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
