Hi,
when I start my computer, My Documents will be opened automatically instead of Desktop first.
An application file is created of the same name as of Folder and places there.
When I click on that app file, My Document opens up.
Right click on that file is disabled and the Folder Options too.
I thought that its WinIME or something like that. So, I hit CTRL+ALT+DEL to view the running applicaitons, but it has disabled that too. So, I'm in big deep **** coz I'm not being able to know the virus name.
Can anyone plz help me out??

ya it happened to me also and then i tried just all antiviruses but ultimately all failed see if u can restore ur computer to an early point by going system tools which would be present in accesseries of the start menu this would disable the virus and put the virus in recycle bin and then u can just delete the bin but if u are unable to reach the desktop then i think u should just insert the cd of the operating system u are using and u should reload the OS and this will automatically format the hard disk, i know thats difficult but frnd u have just two options first the restore option if u can do that or else reloading your operating system which will do the format

Hi, try starting up in SAFE MODE:

1. Press F8 when the POST screen comes up (before the Windows loading screen comes up.
2. Select SAFE MODE from the menu that comes up.
3. Once your system has booted into Windows, run a scan on your computer using Norton again.

By the way, remember to update your Norton virus definitions before doing the above.

If the above does not help at all, download the latest AVG version from here: http://free.grisoft.com/softw/70free/setup/avg71free_394a763.exe, using ANOTHER computer. Use a thumbdrive or a CD-RW/DVD-RW.

Install AVG in safe mode, and perform the scan.

Hope it helps.
