I had some problems with ebay not loading my select a catoagroy in the selling section - so I contacted live help - their solution was download java updates then restart pc.

I did that, and it didnt work, and now, the screen (internet explorer window) is shaking everytime I click a tab. IfI minimise it, then click the tab in the bottom tray to try and maximise it, it flicks up and goes straight back down again.

It also does stupid things, like when I go to my favourites section, I click to go in and it will flick the list open and close it just as quick - it is hell annoying, BUT IT WAS DOING THIS BEFORE I DOWNLOADED JAVA, same with the minimise/maximise thing.

I dont know if this is relevant but I use ZA and spybot sd. the other day I ran a spy bot scan and half way through it had a window come up saying something about a trojan - and it said check log for details. However when the scan finished, there was no evidence of any trojans, just two microsoft

I am getting pop up's from various sites, YourTopBrands, BitZip, True, Ebay, everywhere and can't get rid of them. I've run Norton, AVG, SpyBot SD, AdAware, and Spyware Blaster. I still can't get rid of them and its slowing down my computer and driving me insane. What can I do?

I had installed AVG Antivirus some days back..then today I came across comodo Firewall and Antivirus s/w. So I installed the latter. It asked for an option to remove the AVG s/w and I gave the acceptance. But now AVG is not removed and Comodo is installed too. So I guess there is a conflict between the two and my laptop is going too slow.


How do I fix this?? PLZZZ help!

art clicked the yellow icon, and after it starts the scanning, it stops and tells me that cannot continue due to an "error", but I tried in vain to find out what it was, but to no avail. Can someone please tell me what's all about? Thank You!

Norton antivirus keeps detecting a virus called Trojan.vundo. Under Action Taken it says unable to repair this file and access to this file denied. I really need to delete it caue ever since this has started to be recognised my computer has been really slow and there are loads of pop ups. I think I got it from Limewire. I have tried all the things like ad watch and spybot. Also the computer wont let me restore to an earlier date and i have lost the cds that had a back up of everything to begin with.Am i screwed?

My computer has a virus.
It says that there is spyware on it but when i used
spybot nothing came up
then a windows explorer page pops up
with the site freerealitympegs.com
and sometimes it turns my computer screen completely white except for the courser.
How do i fix this problem?

Ive talked to the company and they said would be 40 dollars for a new. i dont want to fork out that money so i need an alternate way to fix my computer. i have run ad aware and spyware programs from numerous companies and its not finding the stuff.

I downloaded a paint-type application off of ares. And, sadly this has happened before and I never learn, whenever I open it, after a while my norton antivirus asks me if I want to allow olord.exe to access the internet (a DNS server), and I hit no. It happens so frequently and there seems to be nothing I can do. I located the file or whatever, but I'm unable to delete it. I don't know what to do. It always ends up slowing the crap out of my laptop and shuts it down after one minute precisely. I'm really confused, but I don't want to do a system restore. I'm running spy bot right now, but it doesn't work. It makes me sad. How should I remove the virus or whatever it is?

Hi,
I would like to know which is the best antivirus s/w that is free and does the job well in the "free AV" league (??).

I have the AVG right now and Norton Antivirus (one that comes with the google pack). What are your opinion on these?

I know that i need an Anti Virus for my computer, so I decided to download Norton Anti Virus only to discover that it is not compatible with the security system that I already have in place. Norton failed to post any warnings to this effect. Once I had Norton in place, it literally "bogged down" my computer. They were very quick to charge my credit card. I used only 1 day of the subscription before finally uninstalling the enrire product. I've searched several sites but am unable to find an e-mail address for Norton Customer Service. I want to request a cancellation.

I had been a member of Ebay for about a year. I was set up with PayPal for my purchases. In total, I had only made 3 purchases. My credit card statement came and I had fraudulent charges on it that were on the same day as my last Ebay purchase. They were about $3,000 in charges. I cancelled my account after that fearing that it would happen again.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone else had any problems like this? Can anyone recommend a more secure way to purchase things on line?

my pre-installed Norton just isn't working out for me. I'm installing AOLAVS but I'll need a firewall too. whats the best free firewall or is there any free complete sets that will do it like Norton (but better) ?

i am using the broad band internet service in the office and it is very slow. when we ask our ISP about the problem they always say that it is Virus. but we have Norton ant virus and run it all the time in all pcs. what can be the problem?
