No. That's what "permanent" means.

Sometimes. Like Dal said, if it was on your hard drive, even once deleted, it's still there! Only the markers are gone to the file, and the file is covered up and gone when another file is written over it. If you haven't saved anything else, once permanently deleted, you can still retrieve permanently deleted files from your hard drive, though you need aftermarket software, like Norton.

However, if you've permanently deleted your email, that's probably gone for good, since it normally resides on a computer that you have no access to.

No it is GONE
The only exception is with e-mail on a WEB BASED Server and you have your preferences selected to store deleted files for a longer period or until you delete them manually.

There are programs that can rewrite the software that was on your drive, but unless you don't know exacly where you need to rewrite it may be hard. And if you another file over it it's gone forever.

LOL YES!

What people NON-techs don't understand is that a HARD DRIVE is written to in a way that information remenants can be retrieved, but it IS situational.

I can better explain this to anyone who wants to know, but a good starting point is to google a program called GETDATABACK or RECOVERMYFILES

you can completely erase your hard drive (format) and i can still get your information off of it...yes i am that good...jk
