I had a window popping up on my screen advertising them. I did a search and found out that it's a rogue site. My computer is running slow, so now I wonder.... Adware, spyware, virus, what? The anti virus program I bought is pretty useless and I can't update it. Anything I can download that is safe and effective?

It seems to be returning false information. Saying there is a problem where other checkers return a clean bill of health. Example.
XOFTSPYSE said I had “Banker BBQ Trojan” located in the Reg at Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurentVersion/Policies/Explorer = No Close.
Avast, Ad-aware, Spy-Bot, Spyware Doctor all showed clean.
Xoft will not answer my repeated request for informaiton.

Okay, here's the deal. Spylocked.com has infiltrated my computer. It is a trojan. I have found numerous safe sites that will scan my computer but will not remove it. I have Norton Antivirus, but it does not pick it up. If anyone has any good suggestions please respond. I am also fully aware that spydoctor.com is bad. I currently have a program that can tell me about a phishing website, but not remove trojans, please help.

does anyone have any suggestions of where I can store bank #s, passwords, scans of my birthcertificate etc. Though I have hard copies in the bank, I want to be able to easily access them on the computer but i am worried about safety on the computer or someone from the internet hacking it. Is there somekind of program for this. Or something that will password protect? Or maybe some external device with a keypass? Thanks.

i just read an article about "Port 80".

Why would people want to pay so much money, what do they get out of it, free advertising?

I don't understand, sounds like a pretty expensive practical joke. I love our internet, why are people wanting to spoil such a marvellous thing?

What I mean is that can someone download stuff or send threatening messages on my wireless network and authorities have no way of finding that person out? Is it possible to track mac addresses? I mean, if the person just connected and did his stuff can he even get caught? I say this because weird things have been occuring on my network and I think my ISP isnt too happy.

When i click on history or favorites tab i am 100000% sure that something is going wrong. A virus or adware program tries to do something, possibly send my history & favorites information to some f***ng ad server. In my previous pc, i COULDNT open the "search" function in the windows explorer (not the internet, the WINDOWS explorer!!!) if i WASN'T CONNECTED to internet.

I am using Kaspersky antivirus, i scanned with Spybot Search and Destroy, but NOTHING! problem still here!!

And the most interesting thing: ALL THESE HAPPENED AFTER THE INSTALLATION OF SOPCAST 1.1.2.

HOW I REMOVE THIS VIRUS-ADWARE HELP!

(I tried uninstall Sopcast but nothing)

I HATE THESE AD-FREAKS. MAY ALL GO TO H*LL!

I was wondering if there was any way to keep my computer safe from viruses and any other bugs. I've scanned my computer for viruses every week since I've gotten it and it hasn't found any. But a few minutes ago a blue screen came up and said something like windows has detected an error and is restarting. Why did my computer say that?? What could have caused it to do that??

someone please get rid of command prompt so that the hackers will stop. If command prompt goes away there will almost be no hackers at all. I am sick and tired of computer freaks that can hack anything using that program. dos programming is an easy way to get into anyones computer and if that is taken away all will be well.
