hi everyone, well I bought my own server at yahoo smallbusiness, and it gave me the option to create an online phpbb forum, so I did. For an year or so, the forum worked great with lots of activity. But these last weeks I'm getting a huge amunt of spam messages... I tried blocking their IPs, changin the forum setting so only I can authorize new members, making the forum only avialable for registred users, etc... But even if I block so they can't write any messages, they still create their accounts and I have to erase everything manually... pain in the @ss, time-consuming really!!! I was also thinking if there's any other forum server other than phpbb?? Dunno, maybe I can swap my sql database with myAdmin or something?? I don't know, whatever works, but please tell me.. Is there any way I can have a clean forum without having to erase 10 to 20 porn spammers every day?? Please help, I'm getting frustrated but don't want to close it all, I have 40 good, active members

I have Norton Anti Virus 2006 and Norton Firewall on my PC, When i renew my subscription to the Anti Virus will that include updates for the Firewall as well, or have they got a seperate subscription fee?

My computer's infected with the Vundo Trojan and I can't seen to be able to delete it. I've tried the Norton remover, Vundo Fix. But when I scan using XoftSpySE, it tells me that it's still there (I only have demo version).
It also says I have FunWebProducts and DollarRevenue, so help on that would be appreciated.

Like so houseguests can't browse through the book/article you're writing, or see the pin-up photos of yourself from that time you were drunk in college, etc... But NOT to just make the entire computer password locked like at the "login" screen. Essentially if you want them to be able to view family photos and other stuff, but just not ONE folder where you'll put all of your "sensitive" stuff. I have Windows XP, by the way. Thanks!!

My problem is that I have had someone give me some files and I need to have them display in my cgi-bin. I try to display them but it asks me the password and such. I however don't know what it is. Is there a way to find out?, (other than asking the client?). What I am wondering is this. I was given a CD with all the files on it, (including the .htaccess and .htpasswd file). Through e-mail however I was sent a different .htaccess file and a configuration.pl file. I am wondering if this is supposed to protect their data and that I won't need the password as perhaps somehow one can read from the other if I put them in the right place. Also the configuration.pl file has some information in it like an MySQL password, but I am not sure which to just use for the main .htaccess file... any ideas or help?

Hi all,
Recently, one of my friend who is a computer expert hacked my computer and changed my computer background. he put his own picture on my pc when we were having via msn.
first i surprised about this, then he said that he done that.

I want to do the same thing for him?

whenever i open any site, say orkut, i get pop-up windows showing nudity, in Intrnet Exporer, but not in Mozilla Firefox. Why is it so?
I have Quick heal Antivirus, Quick heal Firewall and Norton Anti-spyware installed and updated, but still i get such pop-ups, sometimes showing ads and sometmes nude pictures. Please help me to get rid of this problem.

I'd like to sell my PC when I upgrade. I know that simply deleting files in "my documents" will not completely remove them. Is there a sure way of removing all personal files without affecting all the programs and XP updates that are loaded?
