Most antivirus programs do not run well together. Stick with one that works really well. Otherwise they will fight each other all day long. Norton and Mcafee crash each other all the time.

It is recommended that you only run one anit-virus program at a time. Otherwise the two programs will comflict with each, and slow the PC. If you feel the need for a second virus scanners, use one of the on-line scanners (such as the one at micro-trend.com). You start the on-line and let it scan. When donw, it disconnects. So any conflicts you might get would only be for the short time you are actually scanner. Unlike installed virus scanners, which run 24/7 (or whenever the PC is turned on).

You should not use more than one Anti-virus at a time. It is not necessary to use more Anti-Virus. Some Anti-virus will not let you do this. Because it is harmful for you System as well.
I think Kaspersky Anti-virus is one which you can use. It has both Anti-virus Anti-Spyware and Anti-Worm Protection. So you don't need to use anything else.

You COULD run several as long as it wasn't Norton or Symantic. They're pretty much bloatware anyway. The problem with running more than one anti-virus program isn't just the speed issue, they will also conflict with other which could cause more problems than solutions. I suggest using AVG. You can download a nice free edition that has great scheduled updates from www.download.com. We used the professional version at the trucking company I used to do IT work for. Very solid antivirus program!

If you're running Norton; 1.
If you're running anything else; about 2~5 before you would have to wait for a while.
