Because of this it is logged in as a guest user that will not allow me to access nothing in my computer, not even the cd-rom to upgrade the software.

ok maybe i should be a little more clear the computer does not respond to disk that are put in the cd-rom drive therefore making it impossible to re-install software. When it is shut down and restarted it doesn't even ask for a different user name, now it just automatically logs in as a guest with no privileges

If this Linux you can user rescue CD to set root password to blank, and start from there.

Windows - set another hard drive in you coputer and reinstall OS on that hard drive, and you will get new password, and then copy data from old hard drive.

This will need some knowledge about computer hardware.

You can not retrieve admin password. There is a hack, but chances are you are out of luck
