I have a need for a hacker that is good, and looking for a challenge to outsmart someone I know who is hacking into my accounts. I will not be using the hacker for any illegal activity, but just to track the person. Who is up for the challenge?

I recently got a virus on my Dell laptop and here are several things that happen:

1. I've heard music playing through my speakers when there was no media player open. (doesn't happen much lately)
2. My wallpaper turns to a dark grey screen at startup then reappears a few seconds later with reduced quality (like bitmap to jpeg). Also the labels (or words under desktop icons) get highlighted in grey, and some of the icons themselves get highlighted as well.
3. Internet explorer keeps switching my privacy settings automatically to "accept all cookies" whenever I open a new window.

I have tried several scans with norton and avast antivirus programs both in regular and safe mode and have even done boot scans with avast and they have yet to fix the problems. Now my computer crashes in regular mode whenever I try to open a program. Can someone please help?

You have placed an ad in a website using a form. Your e-mail appears in your ad. When you delete all of your temporary files, including "cookies", does your e-mail get deleted from your ad so that it becomes impossible for the site to contact you by e-mail? You signon again with your e-mail if the site uses your e-mail to signon and restore it. What happens if you don't use your e-mail to signon? Please answer only if you know about computers well.

Is it the best idea, and will it be more effective to find more viruses and more malicious things, if I start my computer in SAFE MODE while running my normal virus/spyware/registry scans?

I scan with Avast Anti-virus, Spybot, and Spyhunter. Avast always finds the trojan and supposedly fixes the problem... but it keeps coming back. Every time I restart the computer I get a warning about it. It does this even when I restart the computer without even going on any websites, so I know I'm not getting it from any sites, Is it just hanging around? Is something else making it come back? Please help... I've had to restore my computer TWICE in the last two months because of trojans. All of my security settings are on 'high', so I don't know why I keep getting these things!

This is a huge problem for security of privacy information. I prefer to give my name to someone rather than it just showing up with my email. Identity theft and unsolicited contacts or familiarity are all concerns.

If so, what do you think is its future potential? i.e., how do you think it would or could be used in the future?

If you haven't heard of cryptography before, say 'no'.

I just wanted to have an idea of how many people are aware of cryptography.

Thanks for your time.

when i go to the index page of my own web site, Norton Anti-Virus pops up with the alert that a virus has been detected on my computer, the virus name is *downloader* and it is located in:

c:\windows\tempo...\index[1].htm

it further says that access to the file has been denied.

I've searched for the file and it doesn't exist. My web site's index page is, index.html.

This alert is only coming up when I go to the index page of my web site. I can go to other web site's no problem.

I've done a virus scan but Norton doesn't find the virus through a scan, only when I go to my page.

Can anyone advise what I should do to get rid of this virus? Are people visiting my web site being infected with the virus?

Any help that can be provide would be so greatly appreciated.
