Explorer keeps telling me that all the sites that I visit have a bad security certificate. I could see that be a reality if it were one site but not everyone of them. I had to use Opera to even log into use this service. I have visited Explorer help and it claims that all the sites must be bad. Any help? I use Windows Vista.

downloaded itself to my computer and I can't remove it.The real problem is the icon on my task bar that keeps saying there are numerous spyware apps runnin. it's not true, the first time I clicked on this icon my spysweeper jumped up and said it was a potentially harmful program. I tried to remove it from the add/remove but its not there. I've run my virus scan and spysweeper but nothing. The icon is called spycrush. Its a shield with a ? mark and an x flashing. If somebody has to remove this. I have also tried to remove it through the start up option where you pick what you want to run at start up! nothing oh and I cant right click it either.

every time i type something in google it says SECURITY WARNING THE INFORMATION YOU HAVE ENTERED IS TO BE SENT OVER AN UNENCRYPTED CONNECTION AND COULD EASILY BE READ BY A THIRD PARTY.
ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO CONTINUE SENDING THIS INFORMATION?
THEN IT SAYS CONTENUE OR CANCEL?HOW CAN I STOP SENDING MY INFO YTO THIRD PARTY???

I get three or 4 spams a day telling me I have been appointed "trustee" over some foreign bank account or that I have won a lottery or from some poor "widow" trusting me with her money. I have a good security system and spam filter but they just keep coming. This is getting out of hand. HELP!

Does any one know how i can block a web page? I need to stop visiting this one site cause im trying to quit (u get wats going on) but i cant do it my self so wat i was thinking is id get some kinda program that blocked web pages that i want to visit and ill type in a random password and forget it. Does any one know how i can do somethin like that?

It didnt jst start doing this. The first time it happened i had to take it to a guy who fixes computers and it was working fine afterwards for like 3 weeks then it started back again. Now its freezing up like crazy, redirecting me to www.qwickfind.com, popups are comin from everywhere, and if i have different internet windows up, it jst automatically decides that it should close out by itself. Alot of the popups im getting are about spyware, and i think maybe thats the problem. Im looking for a legitimit, FREE, no-lie program that will get rid of all the spyware so i can get it back to running smoothly. Your help is greatly appreciated!

I have a simple question to ask. You see I had norton anti virus installed and I thought everything was good. Then one day it said my scanner couldn't run a full scan. I was a bit worried that some unknown virus had taken over it but I thought I was jumping to conclusions. Then I downloaded some better virus scanner, that was very good at picking out viruses. To my discovery I found over 21 viruses on my computer. Not only that but since I ran the scan, the viruses were programmed to react to this type of situation and began to attack the virus scanner. Well, it all worked out and I neutralized them all but I want to delete them off my computer to never again infect it. I tried using IE and it shuts me off and my computer doesn't allow me to search... what should I do?

Are there any free ones? I get frustrated because I find one that says free and then it does a check and says I have 100 problems, then it says it can fix 10 but I need to pay money to upgrade to really fix it. One free antivirus actually caused me more problems. Are there any really free anti virus programs that will run a check and fix all virus problems or infections, thanks

Thanks for all the tips, I got the virus shield from AOL to scan my computer, but I think I'm going to buy NORTON antivirus 2007, it's $30, and if you buy virus protection, its probably better than the freebies. Can anyone tell me if this product is good, or if theres a better one out there for around $30. STILL NEED ANSWER ON WHETHER OR NOT I NEED TO CHANGE PASSWORDS BECAUSE OF KEYLOGGER/TROJAN!!!!! Thanks

i had to take my pc back to the factory setting because of a fault,i am now unable to install norton systemworks,i downloaded and ran the norton removal tool,and was able to reinstall it.but could not install my norton antivirus until i got rid of norton system works,and cannot install norton systemworks whilst the antivirus is on the computer.

How can one minimise virus attacks to the computer? We seem to be having more virus attacks and they are becoming more lethal if not sophisticated? I have lost a good number of valuable documents when my note-book was recently found having a virus infection.

I'm running avg 7.5 free edtion on windows xp. I have a red windows alert icon in the bottom of the page,I click on that it shows my Virus Protection is out of date. The AVG icon is black, it says the Internal virus database is out-of-date.
I have uninstalled the old one I had and reinstall a new one,but it still shows out-of- date. .What am I doing wrong?? Have I got the right Free Edtion? What have I got to do to get it right? I worked on this 4 hrs early this moning,I have uninstall and reinstall 2 different times..The one I'm trying to install is,,AvG Anti-virus and internet Security-AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition..Is that the right Free edition??..Oh,All updates are installed also...Please Help

I think my PC has a virus as I have been having some difficulties lately. I purchased SpyWare Dr and that picked up alot of errors, but I am having trouble still when I start up. I keep getting an error saying cannot find piwemmmr\smss.exe and sometimes my PC just shuts down to the blue screen.
Sometimes when I start up I get a message saying your computer will close down and it has a countdown of 1 minute.
I have tried AVG, Avast and nothing seems to work.
I also reformatted my pc a while ago and it did not wipe my default folder, so in Documents and Settings I now have 3 folders. The original one "Clairs PC" when I try and open it I get the message this folder is not accessible, access is denied. I cant delete it and it is full of stuff I originally had on my pc before I formatted. Obviously this is taking up space and I just want rid of it.
Can anyone please help with either of these problems. I would be very grateful.

can any one help me. this computer is driving me mad. i am tryin to download a new disc but everytime the box opens i get a box saying internet script error. i have ran a scan through it and havnt picked up any virus. i have turned off pop off blocker.
