You have smitfraud infection as jibbarjabar says. I had this infection, got sick of it and Norton crap couldn't detect it even though it was eating my head. This smitfraud tool worked like magic and got me out of the trouble believe me and try the tool.

Your computer has a Smitfraud infection.
Almost all "general purpose","all-in one" spyware and virus removal programs such as AVG, Norton, or Spybot S & D cannot remove it completely. A specialised removal tool is almost always needed.
I would use SmitFraudFix for WinXP, Win2K. It's free.
"This tool removes Desktop Hijack malware: AdwarePunisher, AdwareSheriff, AlphaCleaner, Antispyware Soldier, AntiVermeans, AntiVermins, AntiVerminser, AntivirusGolden, AVGold, BraveSentry, MalwareWipe, MalwareWiped, MalwaresWipeds, MalwareWipePro, MalwareWiper, PestCapture, PestTrap, PSGuard, quicknavigate.com, Registry Cleaner, Security iGuard, Smitfraud, SpyAxe, SpyCrush, SpyDown, SpyFalcon, SpyGuard, SpyHeal, SpyHeals, SpyLocked, SpyMarshal, SpySheriff, SpySoldier, Spyware Vanisher, Spyware Soft Stop, SpywareLocked, SpywareQuake, SpywareKnight, SpywareSheriff, SpywareStrike, Startsearches.net, TitanShield Antispyware, Trust Cleaner, UpdateSearches.com, Virtual Maid, VirusBlast, VirusBurst, Win32.puper, WinHound..."
It's a free tool from:

--------------------------------
BTW, This Smitfraud often gets installed when someone goes to view a video at a "not-so well-known" website. The website will say that a "special" codec is needed to view it, and asks to download it to you. If you allow the download, you will NOT be downloading a codec, you will actually download a trojan called Zlob. The moral is, never allow a website to download "stuff" unless it's a well known and respected site. And oh yeah, that video would have played just fine without that "special" codec! P2P downloads using programs such as Limewire have also been known to be infected with Smitfraud.
Good luck.

SpyCrush, a variant of VirusBurst, is a rogue anti-spyware program that uses deceptive tactics to trick you into purchasing their software. Once you're infected with SpyCrush, a security message similar to a Windows notification pops up saying your PC is infected with malware. This fake message is used to lure you into purchasing, downloading & installing their program to remove the imaginary spyware. SpyCrush program can be extremely difficult to remove manually, and will continue to try to recreate itself. SpyCrush may also download and install other software without your permission.
This will remove it, free.
SUPERAntiSpyware is the most thorough scanner on the market. Our Multi-Dimensional Scanning and Process Interrogation Technology will detect spyware that other products miss! SUPERAntiSpyware will remove ALL the Spyware, NOT just the easy ones.Easily remove over 100,000 pests such as SmitFraud, Vundo, WinFixer, SpyAxe, SpyFalcon, WinAntiVirus, AntiVermins and thousands more!

Go to trendmicro.com and run their Housecall free scan. This is the best scan I have found to get rid of everything from spyware to trojan horses and malware. It does take a long time to run, but it is well worth it. And you can always buy their software so you are always protected. I run this on my computer about once a month (probably should do it more often) and then I also have a program called Spybot Search and Destroy that works really good. I run it about once a week. Just finished and it found 72 spyware things on my computer and took them all off. Links for both sites are below. I know how frustrating this can be! GRrrr
Good Luck!

You need to download and run an application called Adaware..
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad_aware_free.php
After it runs an update, do a full scan of your system. When the scan is done look at the scan log and click the boxes beside the files found.( there will likely be a lot the first time.)
Then click on the continue(or quarantine?) button. This will quarantine the files, then click next and they will be removed.
(Ia mtyping this from memory so it may be a bit jumbled, sorry)

Spybot-S&D Free.
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirro...
Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.
