My concern is all the pseudo-sites and the possibility he will download more than he bargained for. I just want to know if someone has had an experience or knowledge about the site to help make a judgement before he uses it. I saw on their website they had statistics about Napster usage and I wondered if they use information from scanned computers for research purposes or even more, ya know?

I have a micron transport trek 2 that has windows 200 professional. I recieved it from a friend who picked it up when gutting a house and I cant log into the computer. I want to know what the best way to completely erase the hard drive so I can install a new os.

I was watching a documentary on TV about how relatively rampant child porn has become online and it hit me... I surf the internet all the time and out of all the millions of popups and pages we are redirected to, not once have I seen a child porn popup (I'm sure it would have left enough of an impression for me to remember..)

I'm not about to go looking for it... but it got me thinking. Does the US block child porn on the ISP level or am I just lucky enough not to see it?

When online, I sometimes experience a delay in my computer that ends up playing audio clips in the background of my computer. Because there is no video or text box, I cannot access it to close it and when I try to detect it using Windows Task Mgr, there is nothing listed. Please Help!

I tryed to get on the internet and a window popped up and said this...You have attempted to establish a connection with "rmd.atdmt.com". However , the security certificate presented belongs to "a248.e.akamai.net". It is possible, though unlikely, that someone maybe trying to intercept your communication with this website. If you suspect the certificate shown does not belong to "rmd.atdmt.com", please cancel the connection and notify the site administrator. all i did was go online to my homepage which is a verizon homepage. this happened to 2 of my computers at the sametime.

Does anyone know where I can find the version of Ad-Aware SE Personal to download ? (build 1.06r1) I had the previous one but I deleted it. Now I need it back and the only thing I can find is 2007 version which is not the same. I don't want it. I want the older free version SE Personal. I have heard of using oldversion.com or oldapps.com, but are those sites safe to use? ... any help is very much appreciated!!

I have a helpsvc.exe file that takes 100% of my cpu. I've heard it was a bug in windows, so I renamed it so it won't be used again.
but once I do it recreates itself.
I've done a virus scan and no virus was found. I haven't heard of it as a virus from any online sources.
Does anyone have the same problem?????

my computer says it has spyware and the guy that is fixing the computer said the infected file is csrss.exe. What file is that? He says we should put Kaspersky on the computer because it's the best antivirus software. Is it really and if it's not what is the best antivirus and spyware software? okay, so like 3 days ago my friend and i were having a sleepover. we were being stupid nd just fell asleep on the computer. the next morning, MY DESKTOP BACKROUND had been changed to a freaky RED ONE with a WEIRD DESIGN on it saying weird stuff. i try to get rid of it by hovering over the left side of the screen and pulling the picture away. then i figured out by going to the PROPERTIES on ur desktop, going to CUSTOMIZE DESKTOP.. you can hit WEB and click nd delete it.
BUT IT KEEPS COMING BACK.
now, I HAVE POPUPS EVERY 2 MINUTES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE HELP ME!
i dont even press OK when they come up! i click the x or no,
BUT IT STILL OPENS UP A WEBPAGE !
it also changes my homepage to UltimateCleaner 2007.
omg, i have no clue what to do!!!!!!1

I'm probably completely screwed. I downloaded this program off the internet last night on my computer and as soon as I did it everything went off my computer and the only thing left was my background picture. I turned off my computer and turned it back on. I had about thirty seconds where everything went back to normal before it did the same thing and the background picture was the only thing left. I tried it again and again, and the same thing kept happening. Any suggestions?

I used to have a lot of programs on my comp, and the storage space was still fine - it still had some available space on it. and then recently, just as i checked up on it again, the storage space, somehow, became full. I thought i must've - among other ppl that used this comp - downloaded somethings that became too much, so i started to delete some programs, that ended up deleting almost a lot, esp. one computer game that held up most of the space. But it still remained full.. or atleast one byte from it has increased. The computer's original total size is 8.1GB, and what's left of it now is 783mb.... it used to be about atleast 2.41GB, when I still had all those programs at the time.

What could the problem be? I have tried 'Registry Mechanic' and 'ZoneAlaram Security suite' to check up on a virus/ spyware, but the results prooved nothing harmful... ?
