I used to have a lot of programs on my comp, and the storage space was still fine - it still had some available space on it. and then recently, just as i checked up on it again, the storage space, somehow, became full. I thought i must've - among other ppl that used this comp - downloaded somethings that became too much, so i started to delete some programs, that ended up deleting almost a lot, esp. one computer game that held up most of the space. But it still remained full.. or atleast one byte from it has increased. The computer's original total size is 8.1GB, and what's left of it now is 783mb.... it used to be about atleast 2.41GB, when I still had all those programs at the time.

What could the problem be? I have tried 'Registry Mechanic' and 'ZoneAlaram Security suite' to check up on a virus/ spyware, but the results prooved nothing harmful... ?

It happened on the day when I was 'Portforwarding' inorder to speed up my downloads for Bitcomet... I changed somethings on the Network Connections, and that's just about it...

first of all check your recycle bin. Even though you delete things, they remain until the recycle bin is deleted. If you've downloaded anything with Bitcomet, those downloads could also take up a lot of space.

A hard drive with 8.1 Gb is very small. Windows and any office type software is going to take up a large portion of that. The smallest hard drive in a system today is 80 GB, not 8. I'd consider upgrading.

To find out what you have on your computer, click on Search then files and folders, then all files and folders, then when that window comes up leave the search line blank and click on search, it will let it show you want you got.
