I don't think you're completely screwed..
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
try clicking the link above. It's a free web-based antivirus scanner.
try running your own antivirus program.
If all else fails.
You can reformat. That'll be the very best thing you can do.. But to be used as something of a last resort.

I'm afraid to say it but you are going to have to give your computer a full and
thorough recovery. I hope You have
recovery disks for your computer because
I think that it is your only way. You may have
to do it twice but once might be enough.

Download ad-aware and spybot now, also clamwin av is free
Go to the Trend Micro site, scan and clean is free
Get a rescue disk from someone with XP or Vista or whatever you have, the virus is on your hard drive, you need to boot on your cd or usb or a diskette.

we had something like that happen. it kept coming up that we had the worm virus. do you still have the disc that came with your system? it would be a disc to restore all systems/items/perameters/settings to what t was from the manufacturer. we had to go in and reboot from the disc. it took a while, but worked. we then also switched from mcavee to grisoft for virus protection

Try a safe mode start up (F-8), then restore to a previous date if nothing else works!
