the only way to really completely stop spam e-mails is to make a new e-mail account. (there's really no way to STOP spam once your targeted) and don't give that new e-mail address to any websites, don't post it in any profiles, don't fill out any forms with that address. You can keep a seperate e-mail account for that kind of stuff. but don't sign-up your "safe" account for any e-mail listings or anything. Give it to your close trusted friends only.

Well the only way to stop spam emails is to stop visiting and joining so many websites which you don't need to really join. Or get Microsoft Outlook 2007! All the spam emails will get deleted!

Do you mean you are getting a lot of bulk mail? well to stop them transfer them to your inbox then you can mark them as spam and they get added automatically onto your blocked addresses.

My googlemail account automatically separates spam and puts it into it's own folder,on one day i received over 200 so it did a good job, every now and again go through it and see if anything you need has been put in there by mistake.

Did you use Yahoo! Mail?
I think the spams will be sent to the Bulk Folder so it is easy to delete them..

1 check you haven't got a mailing worm on your PC
2 Ask people who might have your address in their contacts list to check for worms, they might be sending mass mails in your name
3 Change your email address and be careful where you send the new one, use a "disposable" or spoof address (like john. nospam@name.com)address for sign-ups. Any legitimate user will see to take the nospam bit out, automated spambots will fail.
