I got the following instructions from bleepingcomputer.com They are a fabulous source for dealing with spyware and malware and virus issues. Note that they reccommend you download a tool specially for removing this fake anti virus applications (trojans). The second link in my sources goes to the download page for this tool.

I'm assuming you have an internet connection. If you are posting this question from another computer and do not have an internet connection from the affected computer you will need to follow the manual instructions on the first link in my sources.

Automated Removal Instructions for SpyLocked and SpywareLocked:

1. Print out these instructions as we will need to close every window that is open later in the fix.

2. Download SmitfraudFix.exe from here and save it to your desktop: SmitFraudFix.exe

Confirm that the file SmitfraudFix.exe now resides on your desktop, but do not double-click on the icon as of yet. We will use it in later steps.

3. Next, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode by doing the following:

1. Restart your computer

2. After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.

3. Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear

4. Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

5. When you are at the logon prompt, log in as the same user that you had performed the previous steps as.

4. When your computer has started in safe mode, and you see the desktop, close all open Windows.

5. Now, double-click on the SmitFraudfix icon that should be residing on your desktop. The icon will look like the one below:

6. When the tool first starts you will see a credits screen. Simply press any key on your keyboard to get to the next screen.

7. You will now see a menu as shown in the image below. Press the number 2 on your keyboard and the press the enter key to choose the option Clean (safe mode recommended).

8. The program will start cleaning your computer and go through a series of cleanup processes. When it is done, it will automatically start the Disk Cleanup program as shown by the image below.

This program will remove all Temp, Temporary Internet Files, and other files that may be leftover files from this infection. This process can take up to a few hours depending on your computer, so please be patient. When it is complete, it will close automatically and you will should continue with step 11.

9. When Disk Cleanup is finished, you will be presented with an option asking Do you want to clean the registry ? (y/n). At this screen you should press the Y button on your keyboard and then press the enter key.

10. When this last routine is finished, you will be presented with a red screen stating Computer will reboot now. Close all applications. You should now press the spacebar on your computer. A counter will appear stating that the computer will reboot in 15 seconds. Do not cancel this countdown and allow your computer to reboot.

11. Once the computer has rebooted, you will be presented with a Notepad screen containing a log of all the files removed from your computer. Examine this log, and when you are done, close the Notepad screen.

Your computer should now be free of the SpyLocked and SpywareLocked infections.

*Watch out for these fake anti virus programs -- I run a quick search using the name of anything before I download it -- even if it looks legit because they have gotten so sneaky :(

You have one of the latest variants of the Smitfraud infection.

--------------------------------

How to remove SpyLocked (Removal instructions using the free Smitfraud Fix removal tool) instructions are at this site:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic85376.html#automated

------------------------------

Most "general-purpose" anti-malware programs such as Norton, AVG, AdAware, etc. can not or will not remove this pest Smitfraud or they will charge you to remove it after a "free" scan. And most who would tell you such, have no actual factual information. They are simply touting there favorite anti-virus or anti-spyware as as "cure for everything". There is no such thing!

--------------------------------

BTW, SpyLocker often gets installed when someone goes to view a video at a "not-so well-known" website. The website will say that a "special" codec is needed to view it, and asks to download it to you. If you allow the download, you will NOT be downloading a codec, you will actually download a trojan called Zlob. The moral is, never allow a website to download "stuff" unless it's a well known and respected site. And oh yeah, that video would have played just fine without that "special" codec! P2P downloads using programs such as Limewire have also been known to be infected with Spylocked.

Good luck!

Firstly update and run your anti-virus product. You can also run a free online scan as well as some malware can actually corrupt or disable your resident security products. Here are a few online scans you can run:
Trend - http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
Panda - http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/ActiveScan.htm
Norton - http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/default.asp?langid=ie&venid=sym

Second download, update and run scans using the following products:
SuperAntispyware
http://superantispyware.com/
Spybot S&D (free version requires manual updating)
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/
AVG AntiSpyware
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/20/lng/us/tpl/v5
Adaware from Lavasoft (free version requires automatic updating)
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php

(These programs can be run in Safe Mode after downloading and updating)

Third, after cleaning your system, disable System Restore, reboot and re-enable System Restore when you log back on. This will clear the malware that may still be lurking in System Restore, which could be reinstalled should you need to rollback at some point. Additionally, a reboot may be required to complete the malware removal process.

Lastly, you may also want to install the following tool. It is free and requires you to check for and enable updates manually once a week or so. It uses no system resources.
SpywareBlaster (inoculates, not a spyware removal tool)
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
================================
If you cannot get it removed after the above, you may want to join a tech group that specializes in providing manual instructions on malware eradication.
