In the US military cryptography is very important. We use it to encrypt phone calls, signals, and other information. Our cryptography specialists also break the codes of others.

Modern cryptology depends mostly on the use of very large prime numbers, so having a strong math ground is very important if you want to go into this work. Computers are also very important.
