How to delete Windows Live?

I just got Windows live but I'd like to go back to the old version of hotmail... Can I do that, and if I can, would someone please be nice and explain me how because I got lost.... But I'd still like to keep Windows Live Messenger... Thanks.

go to options and go to opt out of windows live
