I use Dishkeeper Pro Interprise Edition, because it runs in the background 24/7. I had O&O defrag., from Germany and removed it as it adds an extra icon in the tray and only defrag., when needed.
To my knowledge and the experts, the built in Microsoft defrag., that comes with Windows XP Pro., does not really do that good of a job and you must always remember to defrag as it is not auto. running in the background.

I agree with the first guy - I've only ever used the defrag program that's built into windows. I guess if you don't run on windows os's, you're out of luck. But the windows one has always served me fine.

I use Diskeeper Pro 8 and I like it because I don't have to worry about it. It does it at night for me.
