Type in "help" without quotes, in the telnet program for Microsoft, push enter. This will show you what you need to know.
Access telnet by going to start, run, type in "telnet" without quotes, click ok.

Open the command prompt:
Start
Run
..type cmd
at the prompt type
telnet *ip address*
ip address=the ip address of the node you want to telnet to.
