I am getting pop up's from various sites, YourTopBrands, BitZip, True, Ebay, everywhere and can't get rid of them. I've run Norton, AVG, SpyBot SD, AdAware, and Spyware Blaster. I still can't get rid of them and its slowing down my computer and driving me insane. What can I do?

Thanks, I will try some of those things and see how it goes. I've run all these programs to try to get rid of spyware and it never helped. Also I have a pop up blocker that works other wise but these get past it somehow.

Yahoo Toolbar and Kill the Messenger didn't work. I am using Firefox and have no problems, the person who suggested that gets best answer.
Thank you!

Use Mozilla Firefox instead. It has a MUCH better pop up blocker than Internet Explorer.

I don't recommend Google's toolbar. I had that on my old computer and for some reason it almost crashed it. It wreaked such havoc on my computer. It was terrible. Yahoo's toolbar is ok though. I use that all the time.

You can download free pop up blockers online too. Like Panicware (http://www.panicware.com/product_psfree.html).

Download.com has a whole array of free pop up blockers to choose from. Check them out and see what works best for your operating system (Windows XP, Vista, etc, Mac...). Read the reviews too.

And just so you know, programs like Norton, AVG, Ad-Aware, etc only search for programs and stuff that are downloaded or stored on your computer, so they won't help much with regular pop ups. Pop ups are associated with the websites that you go to. They are normally for sponsors that help pay for the website. They are somehow embedded into the website so that when you load the page, the pop ups come up too. Nonetheless, they still suck and they still slow down your computer. Good luck!
