usually if someone is outrageously annoying you report them and if they reported by many people eventually that troll's account is deleted...but they always make up a new account and start annoying us again

do you think yahoo should record the IP address instead and block it?

The IP address is a unique address for each computer...so whoever is doing it has to go elsehwere from their home to access yaho answers and it'll make things more inconvenient and harder for them to bug us!

what do you guys think?

any other ideas?

Also...usually does a person's yahoo answers account get delted or the whole yahoo id account get deleted?

I need to get a totally 100% protection sort of deal on my PC. I tried downloading Norton 360 off demonoid, but that just made me more confused. I am computer literate and all, but PC's confuse me. (I'm a new Windows use, coming from Mac).

Any ideas on how to stay safe for free?

And PLEASE, spare me the "Macs suck" flame. You're igonorant and unorigonal.

With all of the cookies and spyware out there, don't you think that Bush and the government monitor your internet activity and even tap into your computer? I am guessing they have developed impressive spyware that is not detectable by commercial products. It wouldn't surprise me if it is even disguised as a software update, and that you have even consented to using it when you pushed the "I agree" button.

I have three weeks left of my pre-installed trial version of Norton 2007 left on my Dell laptop. But I just bought a version on Buy.com of Norton Internet Security 2007 for $59.99 (with $50 of mail-in rebates, however). Should I install it now or wait for the trial version to expire? Does it matter? Will I need to install all kinds of updates to this packaged version I just got? Thanks in advance for thoughtful responses.

I recently purchased a laptop from a pawn shop and was surprised to see that it still has a lot of the previous owners personal info on it. Is there a quick and easy way to get rid of his personal stuff, while keeping the important stuff (Windows, etc)? Or do I basically just have to send whatever I don't want to the recycle bin?

I have something in my computer that I cannot get rid of that redirects IE to the advertising pages of ITotalFind whenever I click on a new page. It will not allow me to go where I want to. ITotalfind is an advertising company that should be reported, but I don't know who to report them to or how to get them off my computer. We have disabled cookies and scanned for viruses but nothing seems to help. I have an internet business but am having trouble getting to the places I need to get to. There must be someone to contact that will get this company off the web. Please give me ideas of who to contact and how to get it out of my computer.

I think I have a computer virus...everytime I try to go to a popular website such as myspace it redirects me to some crappy site and I get like 6 pop-ups as well. Eventually it will let me go to the correct website but only after cliking on the link 3 or 4 times. I used my virus scanner and it is not detecting anything. How the heck can I find this and get rid of the bad file(s).

I am concerned because 1) Flash version 9, 0,45, 0 downloaded itself onto my computer while an inexperienced user was at the computer, 2) nothing new appears on All Programs, 3) the URL ends with the word "about" which has been a problem for me previously, and 4) when I go to Macromedia and search for Flash, the URL changes to Adobe and the word "software" changes to "products." Should I be concerned about whatever has downloaded itself onto my computer?.
