I'm doing research on internet virus so someone help me to answer the above question...please let me know the source of this question also..

In mid 2006, McAfee had about 200,000 virus definitions in their database, and they think it may reach 400,000 by 2008.

By the end of 2005, there were 114,000 known viruses for PCs. that number is doubled by now
