That happened to me and it totally stressed me out, tech support could not hepl, I kept getting these LU ... error messages. Took it in and it turned out I needed a new memory card, a piece had gone bad. Try to figure it out, if you can't, just take it to geek squad or something. I got so ticked off trying to fix it.

Good Luck!

I stopped using Norton two years ago as it is too problematic. There's three possibilities for your problem and they all Symantec's fault. The first possibility is that you do have a virus. Over recent years, Symantec and McAffee have been becoming less and less reliable. I would suggest that you download, "Spybot Search and Destroy" from www.computeractive.co.uk\downloads. As you open the .exe for the first time it will ask if you want to check for updates, do this. Once the updates are complete, scan the PC and Spybot will pick up what Symantec can't, as Spybot will do a deep Registry scan. The second problem is that Symantec's products are extremely greedy for resources. They take up all the CPU power and use up all your RAM. Symantec products conflict with too many other products, so you might have to close all other programs both visibly working and working in the background before running Symantec. The third possibility is that your Symantec software has a bug, which was downloaded with the most recent updates. To solve that, you need to check Symantec's site to see if they have issued a patch, if not it should fix itself with the next updates. To be fair, before Symantec bought Norton, Norton was the best AV on the market with a 98% detection rate. McAffee was next with a 92% detection rate. Symantec were one of the worst AV applications with a low 80% rate. When Symantec bought Norton, they merged the two companies and made many people redundant. With cutbacks to generate higher profits, Symantec have taken the best AV producers and reduced them to the lowest levels. To top the insult off, if you are not happy with Symantec software, you WILL NOT get a refund. At the moment, the two most promising AV applications are AVG Anti Virus (this is free and available at www.computeractive.co.uk\downloads) and F-Secure which is about 50% of the price of Norton. F-Secure is given to Barclays Bank Account holders as Barclays had tried Norton before but it wasn't as secure as F-Secure is. One other tip is to get a Firewall (Zone Alarm is also free from Computer Active's site). However, Symantec does conflict with other security software so you may have to cut your losses and get software that works together without conflicts.

Just uninstall and Re-Install Norton Anti-Virus in Safe mode.
