It's free and it's found crap my paid-for Norton misses.
I run it at least once a month.

AdAware by Lavasoft is another one, Spybot is usually pretty good, sorry you are having trouble with it.

Why dont try Adaware ( www.adaware.com ) or Windows Defender ( www.microsoft.com --> search for Windows Defender ). Both of these are good anti-spyware applications to use....Good Luck :-)

also try spysubtract.com trend-micro somethin or other, makes a really really good prog. u can use it free for 30 days. works excellent!!!
