Yes. Even though the wireless or wired LAN you're using is not company owned, all your online activities go through the company server once you use the VPN. That's how they could monitor you. But if you disabled the VPN, then they can't track you unless they get into your computer logs which is a whole different problem.

YES the company can monitor the sites you visit and the time you spend.

Will the company invest the time and man hours needed to do that type of monitoring,.... probably not, at least not unless the company is looking for reasons.............

Once you connect to the VPN, you are going through their network and any of their monitoring tools can see what you are doing. They shouldn't be checking your browsing history from when you aren't connected though.

Absolutly they can, i suggest you watch for the things you download or sites you visit etc..
