better than limewire

All programs are equally dangerous when it comes to viruses. That is because the viruses are not dependant on the program, but the content of the file downloaded using it. If the file is infected, it will infect you also whether you download it from Limewire, Bearshare, Kazaa, BitTorrent or anything else. There is no difference.

To the guy above: IMO bearshare is way worse anything else let alone limewire.

And yes Ares is faster than limewire but secure? That is debatable. Anyway I do recommend using Ares/Torrents for a better downloading experience and always keep your antivirus updated.

you will get viruses doing stupid things. the most easy to use would be torrents. basically a file is broken up into a bunch of peices, and torrent programs like(bitcomet, torrentlord, and torrentstorm) download them and put them back into one file. Seeders means the number of people who have the entire file who are uploading. Leechers are peopl with only parts of the file. the more seeders and leechers the faster the download, though you can still get what oyu want even with any seeders. if a torrent is bad, you will have no seeders/leechers. i myself use bitcomet. the alternatives would be using IRC(which is the fastest and the most legally secure way) and newsgroups, check out slyck.com it the the ultimate resource for DLing and P2P

Download and install Bitcomet, and have an antivirus, try AVG Free, before you open a file that came from P2P scan it first with AVG Free.

I'd recommend using Bit Torrents. Download the .torrent file from www.thepiratebay.org before you opent eh torrent in your client I like Azreus myself, read the comments people have left about it. If it's a few days old and people have downloaded it then they will tell you if it has a virus.

ares p2p

it doesnt use the same network as limewire, bearshare, blah blah that all the popular ones use.

so FBI is way less prone to track your online activities and arrest you.
