I used F8 & signed in as Administrator Applied changes clicked ok and same message came up must be administrator, do i need professional to sort it out?

An administrator is a PC engineer and has his own password..you cannot invent a password.

using F8 to get into safe mode then sign in as administrator is not the way to do it...

you need to set yourself up as administrator with all the admin rights, with a password so that you can log on as a administrator...

now you also need a user account to use as normal you never log on as the administrator under normal conditions cause if you did and made a mistake your in hot water,,

if you have a few users on your pc it must be the administrator who makes changes ,(the main primary user)
try start and run then msconfig in there click ok

Think it might be better just to re-install your system, the configuration table as gone all to pot this can cause the kernal.dll to fail at some point and this is a windows vital file.

If it's Win Vista you're never really the Admin it seems, you're still treated like a muppet even when you think you've got admin rights :-(
