I scan my PC with Norton everyday at the end of the day, and every time I find a cookie (It says "tracking cookie") which Norton deletes. But the next day when I run the scan again I find that its back there! (I assume its the same one)
Is there a way to prevent it from getting in my PC?

The cookie is probably from some site you frequent. Next time Nortons (which may not really be deleting it) identifies the cookie. It should have a button to tell you more about the cookie. That information will help you determine how the cookie is getting there.

You do know what cookies are don't you?
Most every site you visit will put a tracking cookie on you so it can tell you are a returning visitor.

Cookies are not inherently bad. Just keep cleaning them out at the end of each session. I use CCLEANER and it eliminates cookies, temp files (where the viruses reside until activated by booting your system), and a bunch of other things.

you can disable cookies in ie in the tools section. However doing that will mean you will not be able to do a lot of things. Tracking cookies aren't a big deal, just delete them daily.

If you use Firefox browser then you can click on Tools > Options and uncheck the box called 'Accept cookies from sites' to stop them.

Dont use your web browser.

Switch from using Internet Explorer to using Firefox instead, and set the privacy setting to paranoid so it deletes everything when you close the browser.
