No fever or anything.
Same diapers she has always been in.
Hasn't been exposed to anything new.
Been going on for 2 days.
Took her to doctor. Doctor said it could be anything... but not to worry. Some help that was.

For as long as my daughters Amanda and Mckayla have been going to school i have driven them to school. They are now 5 years old, and they have so many friends at school, and we are neighbors with some of there friends, which means they would go on the same bus. But i don't know if i want to let them on the bus, They would be with 8th graders on that bus and they will excperience hearing swear words if the 8th graders or any graders swear, they could be made fun of since there kindergartners, adn who knows they could be hurt. We live in a very nice neighborhood but the bus goes into another neighborhood. They want to go on the bus, but they are not aware of all the big kids on it. They think it will be just them and there friends. I'm not sure. Should I let them on the bus or no?

HELP!

I recently took on responsibility of a group of 3 year olds at the childcare center that I work at. The former teacher was asked to step down for several reasons.

During December, there are MANY holidays that are celebrated - and I am to have the children make a holiday gift.

My first choice is having the children decorate babyfood jars with glitter and putting a tea-lite candle in them. Its something that all religions can appreshiate.

I was also thinking of having the children use Silver and Gold crayons, paint, and glitter - whatever they choose - on white paper. I would laminate the picture and put a cute holiday or gift poem on the back - and put a string through it for hanging.(The child care center's december colors - and winter colors)

Let me know what you think about both ideas.

I've found pbskids.org, but so far it's not as interactive as I'd like. Also, sesame street's website, it seems to tell stories more than having games.
I'm looking for simple games that can teach my daughter to use the mouse. Any ideas?

My two year old was doing great. She was having maybe one mistake a day while in underwear. But she got sick, like three times in a row. Crup like cold, fever for four days, then another cold. She hasn't been doing well since then. We're lucky if she goes pee once a day. Oddly enough she goes poop in the potty about every other time she goes. But peeing is a big problem.
So I've tried rewarding with an m&m. Initially it worked. But since halloween, she knows there's a big bowl of candy on the counter and just wants candy. I'm trying to incorperate that in, but she just goes and sits on the potty for 2 seconds, flies up and says all done and wants candy.
I've tried a potty doll. That almost works. I tell her that I think the doll has to go potty and she sreams no and runs to the potty rips her pants down and sits down. But she doesn't go.

All of a sudden i heard my twins screaming at the top of their lungs. me and my husband ran to their room where we saw our littlest one Laney with her hand over her nose and Lilly with her hand over her knee! They were both bawling and they can't talk since their only 1 1/2. We don't know what happend and they haven't stopped and when we found them it was 20 mins. ago. we looked at them and they seemed fine and there was no blood so why are they still crying and they are shaking too.

I stupidly let my son sleep in my bed when he was a baby, I know it was dangerous but he was my 1st and i was so overprotective of him I just wanted to be with him at all times. He's 2 now and I can't get him to fall asleep in his own bed. I have to cuddle him to sleep in the lounge and only when he is asleep can i put him into his own bed! He wakes up during the night to come into my bed, I've tried to put him back into his own bed when he does this but he wakes up straight away, Its physically draining as i'm not getting any sleep, He sleeps in the day so he fine! Please help!!

My daughter is 3 yrs. old and has been very resistant to potty training. I am already thinking of switching to cloth for my 8 month old son. I am wondering if putting her in cloth diapers might help with getting her to come around to using the potty. I have already tried just putting her in panties and clothes. She treats Pull-ups like diapers, and I can't afford them anyway. I can't handle cleaning up 5-8 accidents a day in her clothes and on my carpet anymore. Did that for about 6 months. I understand that she may just not be ready, and I don't want there to be a big power struggle over it. I also know that this is a tough time for her with her baby brother, and that most regressions occur when the baby is about this age. All I want to do at this point is to kindly put her in a position where she might find using the potty a favorable alternative to going in her pants. Would cloth diapers help in this situation?

She's 21 months old and has had a fever since yesterday. She's been off her food - except milk and occasionally cheerios - and is more clingy and tired than usual, but otherwise no real symptoms. I've been giving her nurofen for children to help keep her temperature down... should I call the doctor or wait and see?

My 3 yr old son and I are going to Disney world in October 2008 with his Grandma and other family members (cousins, aunts, and uncles) for a week. Its a big family vacation. I am trying to find ways for him to earn money for his trip (his own spending money). So far we are collecting aluminum cans and he loves to squish them and he has fun. He enjoys earning money for his piggy bank knowing its going towards disney world. Any ideas of things he can do?

My son will be 2 on the 23rd and has just learned yesterday to climb out of his crib. With the dresser about a foot away, he has learned to climb from the crib to the dresser. I have moved his crib for safety concerns, but the climbing has continued.

So I am wondering what type of bed to get him. I would like to use his crib mattress since he has started potty training. Plus he is a MOVER at night. I have looked into the rails to put on the bed, but I am afraid he will slip out of the open part.

I would like anyone who has converted to a toddler bed to reply with what they purchased and how it worked for them. Money is an issue and I do believe paying more than $150 for a bed he will out grow in a couple of years isn't worth it. His room is on the small side so it will have to go up against a wall with a closet door. Thr crib fits there with a small 3 shelf bookcase from target (the white cublicle ones on the website).

Any help would be great. Thank you.

She needs to get more vit c each day, so I was thinking since she has apple juice now diluted why not orange juice?

Does anyone have any suggestions for other sources of vit c or if this is not a good idea? Thanks in advance! :D

My son is 3.5 years old- he will be 4 in February. He shows many signs of autism but the doctors and myself are not ready to fully diagnosis that yet( (thankfully). The short version of his story is that he has always done things on his own time frame. He did not walk until he was 15 months. In April, he got his tonsils and adenoids removed and tubes put in his ears to help with his balance. He drooled forever before the surgery and his talk want not understandable. His drooling slowed down after the surgery and his speech has improved. I have him in speech therapy, he goes to see the developmental pediatrician and he will be starting preschool soon. His speech therapist had noted maybe with some problems with his motor skills and I am wondering if anyone knows what an Occupational Therapist does/what I can expect. I am just not sure what they will ask or what they will tell me and I am anxious....any help would be appreciated.

My son is 3 years old. We found a strange hard lump on his arm a week ago. We've been to the doctor and they are doing tests right now but don't know for sure what it is. I've noticed he's very angry and hateful now and he wasn't before. He even says I will kill you. Do you think this could have something to do with the lump?

What can I possibly do to get through to my 4 and 3 year old daughter who keep playing "kissing" games with each other. I know the girls have seen me and their dad kissing at times and they are so curious asking us why we do that. We've explained to them that its cause we are big and love each other very much. I've caught my older daughter on top of lil one on a few occasions now, kissing her on the mouth and it really makes me want to lose it on them! Ive tried nicely explaing its not good and it's very wrong, punishing them, and I even tried the yelling approach and smaking daughter on hand but nothing works. They know its wrongful behavior cause they've even locked their door when playing mommy and daddy! Is it normal for such young children to be so curious in this kind of manner?

the boy's mom's live-in boyfriend shook him so violently, he got 'shaken baby syndrome'. the mom waited nearly TWO DAYS to bring him to the ER, and by then he was in a coma. he died last night from his injuries. my friend john is suffering so badly, and although i've lost a fiancee, i have NO CLUE what it feels like to lose a child. i just sit and listen, hug him, and try to be there for him whevever he needs me. is there anything more i could be doing to ease his pain?
