I have a 13 year old daughter and have had this same problem at least since she was 10. My ruile is you go to your room by whatever is bed time. I can;t make you clsoe your eyes and go to sleep but I CAN make sure you get your butt up out of bed in teh morning. Enough days of HAVING to get up-she started going when she was told. It may just be though that he doesnt require as much sleep as other children his age.

Set a time for everyone in the house to call it a night..turn off the TV at a certain time make sure baths and showers are out of the way..If your 10 y/o likes books read them a book before bed...I think if your consistent every night they will get to bed on time..I don't have a 10 year old but i have a 5 month old and every night we have the same routine and it works for us ..good luck..

you tell them you are the parent and if they don't go to bed at the time you want they will go to bed an hour earlier until they listen and do as you say.
