Trick or Treat last night? How fun was it? How late were Ya'll out?
Every year we have always managed to leave the house at 6 and be back at 8, in time for baths and bedtime, even when daddy has to work late..
So, how did ya'll do??

When she is on her potty she wants to hang on to a toy or my hair brush it seems to keep her on the potty but not sure if thats a good idea. any info would help Thank you.

My nephew gets up at 8:00 a.m.and by 9:30 by sister-in-law makes him go back down for a nap. She usually fights with him to get him to go back down. Finally he will fall asleep after awhile and sleep for 1 to 2 hours. Then he gets up and a few hours later maybe around 4:00 in the afternoon she makes him go back to bed and usually he is not tired and she fights with him again. Usually after awhile, he goes to sleep because she spanks him if he does not want to sleep. This happens all the time. Finally he will give in and go to sleep and sleep for an hour or so. The she makes him go back to sleep around 8:30 to 9:00. She also spanks him then if he doesn't want to sleep. I told her maybe he is getting too much sleep, she disagrees. She thinks he is just overtired and that is why she has to fight with him to take his naps. How many naps should a 15 month old get? Could someone give me some tips on how I could help her with this. I hate that she is spanking him to much. (Sleeps all night)

I'm not talking about infant formula. I'd like to know if there is any kind of milk powder that can be dissolved in warm-hot water and given to a toddler when traveling and of course I can stir in his usual malt flavoring. Now that we are going to travel a bit and wont have fresh milk available readily, I'm trying to find a way to continue with him drinking his milk when we are in transit to different places.

My 22 month old daughter cut her hand last night while playing outside. It isn't a terrible cut, but it is on her palm. It has dirt in it, but she wouldn't let us clean it out. And, to make matters worse, we didn't know that she did it until a few hours after it happened. My question is, what do we do about it? The edges have fused back together, closing in the dirt. Is this something we should let heal itself, or does it call for a doctor's visit?

I have a step-nephew who will be turning 2 next week. To put it bluntly, the kid is spoiled. He has every toy you can imagine and his parents only buy him name-brand clothing. Frankly, I don't see the point of dressing him in $80 shoes if they'll only fit him for a few months at a time. Anyways, this kid does not really get the attention he needs- just toys. I want to get him something educational that he would be interested in enough to use on his own, because I am sure his parents will not (don't) take the time to show him anything. (They are not together- barely 21 year-old partiers who dump him off on their parents) Any suggestions?

We are planning to celebrate our son's bday and for gift suggestions I wanted to put "No box Gifts" on the BDay card. Because he got lot of toys and clothes when he was born from friends and family which are still being unused. My husband is against the No box Gift idea.
Is there any harm if I write this on the invitation card. I wanted to buy useful stuff for his coming years. When he was born I got clothes that never fit him and they are just taking up closet space.

please and thanks
