I just bought my 4 year old a costume that was marked down for next year and I was just curious what size a 4 year old wears.(I know every child is differen't)Thanks

My child isn't 4 (he's 2 1/2) but he wore a costume that was a 3T/4T. Costumes tend to run very small for size.

A 4 year old should wear a size 4 or 5 make sure it does not have a t by the #. The t in front of the # means toddler and @ age 4 they are no longer considered toddlers. To me they are still babies but to the fashion world their not. The "normal" height is 42 inches and the weight is 38 pounds.I hope this helped.

In costumes if it says Small, it usually means a 4-6y size... Medium is usually 8-10y size... Large is 12-14y. So usually, if a child is average, a child at 4 yrs should wear a childs size small. Hope this is what you meant!
Also, keep in mind, not only is every child different... but every costume manufacturer is different. So just use your judgement! Best of luck!

i have a neighbor who's boy is 4 and he is wearing a size 5 now. so by next year he will be in a 6/7.

My Daughter is 4, quite tall for her age and I just got
her a Halloween Dress which says age 5-8 and fits
her perfectly!! It really depends on the make, some
are generous and room to stretch but mostly in my
experience they tend to be on the small size for the age!

at age 4, my daughter wore size 3-4.. I would suggest a 5-6 sized cosutme to fit warm clothes underneath (depending where you are of course lol)
