Trick or Treat last night? How fun was it? How late were Ya'll out?
Every year we have always managed to leave the house at 6 and be back at 8, in time for baths and bedtime, even when daddy has to work late..
So, how did ya'll do??

It wasn't fun at all for us parents!! We left at 6 and by 6:30 our oldest was already asking to go home. (he's 7 and doesn't care about free candy apparently. He's never wanted to go out long) We had a stroller for the younger 2 (3 & 2) They both had a ton of fun...the 2 yr old wanted to take the candy from their hands and not let them throw it in his bucket...And he would promptly pull it back out and hold it up and scream pure delight!! BUT putting them in and out of the wagon was hard on my husband and me both.

We went home at 7:15...every one was ready for the night to end (we've never gone the whole 2 hours yet). Dinner was hot dogs & a side of candy...bedtime was strictly enforced. And my husband and I fell asleep on the couch!! LOL

All in all....I'm glad it only comes once a year. AND I was really surprised to see so many babies (not with older siblings...just parents and infants) and high school students. I just don't get it. It's not like the baby can eat any of the candy..some of them weren't old enough to even eat solid food yet.

I live in PA and most townships here don't do it on the 31st. We had ours on Friday the 26th, and only from 6-8. The weather was horrible here, all rainy and cold, so we dressed the kids up and just went to the neighbors house just to do it once. Then cam home and watched Its a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. We are on a main road, and did not get any trick or treaters. My kids are young though, 2 and 1. They do not need the candy at this age, and have had a few pieces of our candy. Thankfully though, enough parents complained, and now next year it will be on a Saturday afternoon with a raindate.

The same we left at 6:30 and were home by 8:30. Kids got plenty of candy and were completely worn out by the time we got home. All and all we had a great time and saw some pretty cool costumes.

We had a blast. It was the first year since my 3yo was born that we did actual trick-or-treating. Usually we just go to church functions. He loved all of it. He was old enough to play the games at church and loved going house to house with his 3 older brothers and older sister. He was very well behaved and didn't even get scared at a house we went to that had all kinds of scary stuff out and about. Church started at 5:30 and ended at 7:30, then we were out for about another hour at the most. Dinner was hot dogs and frito pie at church. (they also sent home a ton of hot dogs and chili with us). We were so tired that we don't even know how much candy they got.

We made it out about 6:45 and came home at 8pm. It was not too bad this year. I had my oldest walk with the younger two with a friend and followed along in the car. Everything was really pretty relaxed. Seemed like everyone was more polite this year... driving slower... watching their kids more attentively. Was all in all a pretty good one! Hope you all had the same!

We had a blast. My sister stayed home and passed out candy (recovering from surgery) and I went out with my niece and nephew with 3 neighbor kids and their moms. My nephew was bored (age 4) after about ten minutes, but stuck it out for about half an hour. After dropping him off, my niece (age 6) was back at it with the neighbor boys (age 8). We all went to one of the boys' houses for pizza, wine (adults only, of course), snacks, etc. and then went back out for the last half hour. It was nice to relax and unwind before going out again and we all had a blast!
