Attention would be good, also the whole bubbles idea. But why don't you take him for a day of arts and crafts? Kids never really appreciate things unless they have had to work for it (and that's true for everybody). But my little brother and I went to this Lowes store and they were building fire trucks and he was so proud that he built it all on his own that he didn't stop carrying that thing around for 2 weeks,he also showed anyone who would look his way, and then some! But my point is do some arts and crafts stuff, finger paint with him, do some hands on stuff, teach him good values and you get to spend quality time with him (great brownie points for when he gets older!)

Well, if he has everything. Maybe a gift certificate to a educational childs toy store, I'm sure you could find one online. Something like discovery kids store. There are a bunch online you could get a gift card from and it could be used online as well. Or you could do something really fun and good for not just him. Adopt a star for him, or an animal from your local zoo. We're doing an animal for a frieds child this year. He will be recognized for adopting an animal, which makes him feel good, and the money will go to caring for the animals. Then he could go to the zoo to visit his animal he's helping. Heck I think I'll be doing that for my daughter this year now that I keep talking about it.

Start a new tradition, give him a card with 2 dollars in it. Every year give him the same # of dollars that he is old. It is cheap, easy and by the sounds of it all that he needs!!

Why not coloring books and crayons. A lot of kids I see who have everything, do not know about coloring. You could also get him something to take to grandmas.

might sound a bit cheap but how about a bottle of bubbles, and some different types of tool things to make bubbles with?

How sad.
Give him a baseball, or any type of ball for that matter, and spend some time playing w/ him with it when you see him.

Spoiled ehh? I wouldn't give him too much, he won't appreciate it. Maybe start a college account in his name, or throw a few savings bonds his way.
