Right, it's against the law, most places.
But you can become self-employed & sell services:
Baby-sitting, dog-walking, plant-watering, garden-work, etc.
Just make sure your parents know the people hiring you.
If you put up flyers don't list age or gender or address.
There are lots of wierdos out there, these days.

OMG move to Alberta Canada. THEY ARE SCREAMING for employees. The walmart and mcdonalds, and resturants, and grocery stores are FULL of people who are under 16 and working. The Nice thing too.. is they are paying the 14 yr olds as much as an adult! Some places in Calgary Alberta are even giving you a $500 start up fee for staying for at least a month!! its crazy here!! Definetly a GOOD move

I don't think you can get a real job at a grocery store yet. There was a bill or something that was supposed to be renewed in Congress and they didn't get to renew it. I believe you need to be 16 to get a job, at the moment.
You could work for friends or family: Babysitting is a good example

At your age you should start your own business.
babysitting,
dogwalking,
dogsitting,
going to the store for the elderly,
washing cars
mowing lawns/ shoveling snow/raking leaves
baking and selling cookies
helping tutor
That way when you do turn 16 you will have something to put on your job application.

You can be a paper boy! Or do yards, wash cars, some grocery stores take baggers at young ages.

I think Ruby's does. Otherwise stick to doing yard work for neighbors, you can "rake" in a lot of cash. Sorry. Good luck :D

maybe you could ask your neighbors and teachers about jobs. at my school they are paying students to tutor elementary and middle school children. maybe your community has a program where you can help the community. neighbors and the elderly will probably pay to do odd jobs they can't do.
