My husband and I have Quadruplets. After years of trying to get pregnant we went to in vitro and I got pregnant with Quads. At 31 weeks I underwent my C-Section and came out with 4 very small babies.
Luke Carter (The big boy; most lively energitic crazy climbing little boy.)
Sophia Grace (Our princess; Sweet but shes a diva at heart)
Clayton Joshua (Bookworm; an observor He has always been incredibly interested in the world around him)
Jade Isabella (she was the tiniest little thing I had ever seen; the smallest out of everyone.)

After 8 days we lost little Jade. It was heart wrenching but there wasnt much time to grieve. We had to stay strong so that the other babies could be strong.

3 years down the road my husband and I want to know the best way to tell our children that they have a sister she just isnt with us anymore? Should we wait a couple more years? We have pictures of her hanging in the house but they just think its one of them and we mention her to them frequently.

My 1 year old boy has started to act a bit strange to me. He will shake his head back and forth for no reason (he purposely does it, it's not seizures). He sometimes does it when I tell him "NO!" But he also does it other times for no apparent reason. He also hits himself on the sides of his head when he's upset or tired, like, literally smacks himself hard. And one other thing, he screams really loud for no reason and then laughs about it. He's a normal 1 year old in every other way. He's walking and talking (his vocabulary is over 15 words already) and happy most of the time. Is this just a baby being a baby or could they be warning signs of something else?

since the age of 2 my daughter gets up ay 1am and stays up untill 4pm the next day, when she will just drop where she is standing. we cannot wake her we have tried everything even putting her in the shower but she will sleep through that. it gets worse when she is awake at 1am she distroys the house she draws all over the walls when she knows it is wrong. she empties the fridge, we got a fridge lock but she pulls it off, i dont know how. she is also potty trained but she will wet herself up to 10 times a day. every morning we wake up we dont know what we are going to find. we took her to the doctors he thought it was funny, he did refer her but that was months ago i dont think he bothered sending the letter because he thought it was funny. i dont know what to do. i feel like i have failed her, because i have 5 children in total and the other children have never been like this.

Since my daughter was born, her daddy has let her sleep with us in our waterbed. She suggested that if we buy her a DOra bed that she would sleep in it, well we did and "NO" she doesnt. Well now she says that if we buy her a waterbed that she will sleep in that. We want to get her a waterbed to try it out, but I dont believe that it will work. We still will buy her one, just because. She is a daddys girl and she gets EVERYTHING that she wants. We have actually layed down with her in her bed to get her to sleep there. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. The nights that it does work, she wakes up in the middle of the night and gets in our bed. The nights that it doesnt work, we end up falling asleep in her bed and she gets in our bed with the other one. Does any one have any ideas on what we can do to try to get her in her own bed?

my niece is 2 she stays with me almost every weekend. her parents have a guy staying with them who i believe is molesting her. today she told me that eric bites her where her diaper is. she has shown other symptoms as well. i didnt see any marks or anything when i changed her though. my husband doesnt want me to make any calls b/c he thinks it will backfire on us b/c i have called cps on them b4 for them not taking care of the kids and they didnt let us see them for a long time. im just really concerned about it and im afraid the parents arent going to believe she said it or are going to say that we told her to say it. if theres no proof of it will anyone take the word of a 2 year old or will they just brush it off. i believe her and shes also having trouble sleeping and talking about stuff ive never heard her talk about, she has also been calling the guy i believe is doing it daddy to is any of this normal and who would believe it.

MY 14 month old has been very good with eating. All of a sudden it seemed like she had a flu, getting sick, she looked ill, so I figured FLU!
Now that she seems better, she's still throwing up her food, she gags on it and it ALL comes up. This is happening constantly and I'm starting to really get upset cause I can't get her to eat.
Now she flat out refusing food, I try to be tricky and find ways to get food into her, she whines, screams, is being horrible about it! And in the end it usually comes right back out.
Whats going on? And shoudl I be concerned that food isn't staying down?
It just seems like all of a sudden she's just gaging on the food, but she doesn't even seem to want it to begin with, whats going on???

my 4.5 month old daughter all of the sudden has started getting solid poop, not hard poop but round and firm, isn't she to young to have that kind of poop. She eats solid food already, rice cereal 3 times a day at 1.5 ounces and bananas, pears and peas, about 1.5 tablespoons for breakfast lunch and dinners, she is still breast fed as well. Is she getting to much of something or is this normal, my ped. told me to give her diluted appl or prune juice , but she is to little for that.

I am a 25 year old mother, and my daughter will turn 3 in 2 months. My friends tell me that she should know how to recite her alphabet and numbers at this age. She knows colors, and she repeats her abc's with me. I have taught her shapes and she can point to them and say them. I set aside time each day for us to practice her alphaber and numbers, but she can't say them on her own. She reconizes some of them when she sees them. I read to my daughter every day, but people tell me that she should be starting to read the books on her own. I am feeling guilty because if she isn't doing these things it is because I am not teaching her enouph. She is a smart child and I don't see any signs of her being a slow learner. How do I know if she is learning enouph? Her doctor never really ask me how well she is learning things like this. My husband and I spend alot of time with her and try to teach her as much as we can. How do I know if she is learning quickly enouph

My nephew's are well, almost 3, and just turned one. The three hear old is very good at keeping his food on his plate and keeping this clean. But now that the one year old is getting solids and throwing them on the floor, the three year old sees it and follows suit. Any ideas to keep the older one setting a good example instead of doing what the baby does? Thanks!

I was just on the website 'daycares dont care'. Its a sad fact that they actually dont, even the one i work in.

I work with toddlers, aged 2-3. But even yesterday i had 13 kids in the one room aged between 18 mnths & 4 years. Even tho the room only holds 8 children. The most ive had is 20 kids in one room by myself for over an hour.

I feel bad having to sit all the children on the floor, but it is the only way i can look after them when there is soo many. Im not saying things are this bad all the time, but ratios are NEVER kept.

The managers r so nice tho. Its hard to say anything because they have helped me through hard times with my family problems etc.

When they see the room in such a state with 2 many children, they just tell us new staff are starting soon & not 2 worry. I know it takes ages for them to get staff because we have to wait at least 7 weeks on police checks but i dont think it should be this bad.

In the future i hope to open my own daycare. A good one.

He ate only a small supper and wouldn't eat any breakfast, which is odd for him. Then, he vomited all over the kitchen floor. He does not have a fever, but he isin't really himself. It is Saturday, so , I can't call my pediatrician, should I take him to the ER, or what. I'm a first time mom and don't know what to do. I'm a little bit scared, this is his first time being sick, other than a cold. What should I do?
