She is about 18 months, I was just wondering when is it safe to give her straight juice? Thank you.

My son is 22 months old and we still dilute his juice. I think that a lot of parents overuse juice. Your child doesn't even NEED juice. Make sure they are eating a lot of fruits and vegetables and it's not needed. It's just a lot of extra sugar. He gets at most one juice sippy a day and it is half juice and half water.

Why stop diluting it at all? Juice really has no more nutritional value then soda...it is mostly empty calories. I'm 24 and still dilute MY juice. My 2 1/2 year old will occasionally get straight juice when we are out, but those occasions are few and far between. My 11 month old still has yet to try any kind of juice at all.

my son just turned 2 and I haven't diluted his juice in a LONG time. I think I stopped shortly after he turned a year old. But he was always a really good eater and started drinking juice at about 6 months. Its up to you though really

Its safe, but be careful with highly acidic juices such as orange juice. They may give her a belly ache! I still dilute all my kids juice though because its just better than straight juice. I also dilute their chocolate milk with half plain and half chocolate so they don't get as much sugar. They don't notice a difference in taste.

You stop diluting it when they catch on that you're doing it and won't drink it unless it's full-strength. My four year old still has it diluted. He knows we dilute it and gets fussy if we do it juice/water or water/juice (go figure, like it matters!), but luckily hasn't yet refused it.

Also, I haven't given my 14 month old juice at all because I'm scared of turning her into a juice junky like her brother!

I consistently dilute my daughter's juice (she'll be 2 in some days). especially circumstances that's 0.5 and 0.5, especially circumstances merely a splash in a cup of water, and especially circumstances she has undeniable water. Juice (even a hundred% juice) has a number of of sugar, and no fiber like entire culmination. I provide her a lot of culmination and vegetables, so she gets a lot of supplementations from her weight-relief plan! I additionally nurse her, so i'm in no way fairly annoying approximately how lots nutrients she eats daily. Orange juice is extremely acidic, and could be annoying on a tiny tummy. i spotted a diaper rash while she had too many acidic culmination.

Its "safe" right now, but you should keep diluting it to reduce her sugar intake. My oldest son is 6 1/2 and if he has juice I STILL dilute it half juice half water. Its just healthier.

It's safe, but why start? My son is almost 5 and still gets his juice diluted by about 50% or more. We are rewarded with better teeth and less sugar.

You know it is way better to get her used to drinking water rather than juices but don't stop diluting them if you want her to continue drinking juice.
