My rule of thumb is when theyre able to climb out of the crib, or by two at the latest.
She's more than old enough in my opinion.

My little boy was given his toddler bed at 2 years old so i'd say you're little one was old enough, the main issue is whether she rolls around a lot while she's asleep, if she does then there's a real chance she could fall out of bed and you may need one of those sides that stops them rolling out. there is always a lot of excitement when he cot sides have gone and you may find yourself putting her back into bed a lot but the novelty soon wears off and she'll stay in bed.

she's definitely ready! Tell her she's getting a fab new grown up girl's bed and she'll be desperate to get to bed tomorrow night to try it out. Best bit is, you can now ditch the baby monitor because if they've got a problem, they just get out of bed and come down and get you. Also means she can get up and go to the toilet/potty instead of having to cry for you to take her in the night.

My daughter was 18 months when we took hers off. We put her a bed guard up as she was quite little but she took to her big girls bed easily!

the general rule we went by was when my son was able to almost climb out we bought him a new bed and made a fuss it was amazing how quickly he took to it!
i say go for it, it might take some time or she will love it.
good luck either way.

whenever you feel your child is ready - Personally I wouldnt wait till they could climb out / attempt to.
your child seems old enough for you to do it - just put a folded quilt on the floor and make sure the other side is next to a wall - or have another folded quilt, so should they fall out, they fall onto something soft.

The first answer is correct. As soon as they are old enough to climb on and off the bed unaided, they're fine.
