ok so im throwing my son a birthday party hes turning 3 for all the freinds and family were going to have it at the house this year instead of renting a place out but were going to rent bouncy houses and other amusment stuff to go outside. we usually start planning in october and its in march, and we always get a teired cake and go all out on presents, we've actually scaled back some since his first birthday but i was wondering what a good theme would be? because its getting so close i have to still order personalized things for the goodey bags and his birthday banner for the yard, but i need so ideas for a theme, the first year was circus theme, the 2nd year was spongebob for one party and the other was thomas, (we had to have 2 parties that year for family reasons) or any other kind of ideas would be great! thanks so much

My son is 2 1/2 and he is scared of being in his bedroom. My wife still rocks him to bed and when he falls asleep she puts him in his bed. He gets up in the middle of the night, every night, cries and wants to sleep with us or on the couch in the living room. He says he is scared. This all happened right after halloween when he got scared seeing kids with scary masks. I want to put a tv in his room, my wife doesn't want to. I think it will help him be less scared. He already has two night lights in there.... What do you think?

This is the first time she has had a seizure. She didn't have a fever at the time and now a day later she has a rash on her back, stomach, neck and a little on her limbs. The doctor equted it all with a virus but my instinct tells me no. My mother's family has a history of epilepsy and seizures. Has this happened to anyone before? Any answers would be helpful. Thank you

I'm graduating in January and my daughter will be 8 months old for that time, and i have to start working to help up my husband with the bills (we have been strugling economically since i got pregnant.), but my mother in law bitches about the baby is to small and that she could take her to her country and take care of her for a year or two while we work (she is a lawyer for my bad luck), but when she says that it just piss me of!!! because for me kids have to be with their parents. I just want the best for my child, and im so afraid because i have hear of so many things about mistreated kids and bad nannies... What things i have to know before picking a Daycare? its pros and disadvantages? I really need help.
(At first with my husband we thought of: one work at day and the other work at night, but our carriers are day time careers...)
What can i do to get the nosessy mother in law out of this? (she lives with us she is a lawyer in her country)

My daughter is 3 and we just recently put her in daycare 3 days a week for the first time. She is an only child and hasn't had a whole lot of interaction with other kids. She has panic attacks while shes at the sitter. Other kids will be around her, and she starts to cry like she's been hurt, but no one is around her. This is for a solid 15 min, every hour or so. She also refuses to eat anything when she is there. Has anyone else had this issue? Does this go away or will it cause my daughter more harm, mentally, to be there?

Ok Ive got a big problem, I work overnights, and my husband will put himself and our daughtes to bed and then he will go to bed. Well, my 2 year old will wake up in the middle of the night, get into whatever she can, and then lay down next to my husband and go back to sleep. This morning I came in from work to find bbq sauce and milk spilled all over the living room. Milk dumped in easter pails, all of the dishes from the dishwasher out and scattered all over the kitchen. and the refridgerator door open. ok yes the messes are really anoying and I can think of things ild much rather do after working all night. but im more concerned about my daughters saftey. she could get hurt. How can we keep her in bed all night if we are asleep?

My daughter is 15 months and will be 16 months at the end of the month. She picks up my slippers and puts it in her mouth. She picks up her stuffed toys and puts them in her mouth. But she won't pick up food to eat. She is teething again with about 2 upper and 2 lower teeth coming out at the same time. I feed her every meal using a spoon or a fork. Sometimes, I would have to hand feed her myself because she won't even touch the food. She doesn't have a favorite food item that we can encourage to give her and let her self feed. I tried chocolate candy, bread, cereal, cookies and she won't put it in her mouth. Is there any way to make her gradually feed herself?

My husband, and my daughter, which is 15 are not getting along. the last episode, was 2 days ago he reminded her that she was not locking the door when she left for school in the mornings. She left the door open again the next day, and I said something to her (not a lot). Then this morning she when she left for school she left the door not only unlocked, but he said it was open. He is convinced she did it on purpose to prove she does what she wants. (now granted due to the thick tension between the two he has backed up from her) Now, would you say he is right, should I get behind him and discipline her. He unplugged her cable in her bedroom. Should I chill out and let her bear her punishment? (I know what is right I guess I just want some feed on it)

I've moved back in with my parents (because my new college is right down the street for them so I save like...$10k on room and board!) and the task of watching my 4 year old sister has fallen into my hands. I've realized that she watches TV CONSTANTLY.

I can't get her to eat or go to bed without the tv being on. It's incredibly annoying. My parents had always been busy and the babysitter they had before I moved back in just used the tv as a babysitter.

How can I wean her off of it?

She has no problem drinking milk... she gets a milk in the morning and 1 in the afternoon and 1 at night before she goes to bed.. in between that she wont eat! I have offered her everything under the sun.... and this morning she didnt eat any of her french toast.... and she normally likes french toast.... She has always been a little picky.. but it has gradually became worse... should i bring her to the doctors, or maybe get some pediasure? I am very worried... she hasnt eaten very little in the past 2 days... I am afraid she isnt getting enough nutrients. I am wondering if this is just a phase???? She hasnt been acting sick or anything... just not interested in eating. I'll be making a special trip to the grocery store so if anyone has suggestions on what i should do, or what i should try let me know... i offer her everyday everything from the major food groups and even the yummy stuff like peanut butter and jelly...

My son has skillfully learned how to climb out of his crib, its actually quit impressive. But it is obviously dangerous, so we are putting the crib away. He is currently sleep on his matress on the floor, but it is now almost impossible to get him to go to sleep. He just wants to wander around his room. We are looking for a bed for him. Any suggestions. Do they make little kids bed that will encourage him to stay in it? Not necessarily cage him in, but something?

Does it make any sense what so ever to have my young son to wear his briefs under his boxer shorts,or does that defeat the purpose of him wearing boxer shorts?
The reason I am asking this is because he likes to go around the house in his boxer shorts but the problem is sometimes his penis will come out of the fly opening of his boxers while he is playing or running around and I don't think it looks good for him to have that happen..it never seems to bother him at all..lol.

She had two in her head, one on her foot, and one on her temple. One has gone down on her head. The one on her temple and foot have gone away. I am concerned that the one in the center of her head is painful. She does not want me to comb her hair. Is she in pain? The one on her head is about the size of a pencil eraser. It is not getting bigger, but when will it leave? I am concerned because she will be starting school this year. Her DR. says to jsut forget about it. How do i do this when she screams when her hair is brushed. He also said that it would bleed profusely if it is cut. I am so worried.

My almost 17 month old doesn't say much (about 4 words) and they all sound very unclear. In fact they sond they same as if my hearing were muffled. Could his hearing be muffled and that this is how he hears words. What could cause this?

My wife and I have a 27 month old son....he's a very happy and loving child. Until a few months when our son would experience any discomfort like bumping his head, falling down etc. he would always immediately come to me or his mom for comfort. Lately when this happens we'll try to comfort him but he refuses our efforts and walks away from us trying to shrug it off....is this normal? Just seems really odd to me.

We had to cancel my son's 4th birthday party because his best friend has symptoms of the pink eye.
So it will be just me, my spouse, and our little boy. Since we are too tired to cook a homemade meal and bake a cake, is it tacky if just 3 of us go to Olive Garden to celebrate our little one's birthday? We will bring his birthday gifts to open at the restaurant.

He's 15 years old. I never really thought about it until she asked me this afternoon. Back when I was little, we tutored guys in math for a Chirstmas present, so I really have no clue.

I know that he's into dirtbiking, biking, weapons, and cats. He could be into more, but I'm the mother, and we don't know these things. So if you have ANY ideas whatsoever, PLEASE answer. =)
